i'm sure, whether you live in Manila or Hong Kong or New York or London, you have these favorite times and moments that made you stay or made you love the city even more..here are the few things i love about my favorite city.

I'll start...

My favorite New York moments are those times when i just walk around my neighborhood or around my friends' neighborhoods..particularly the village..then ending up having lunch at Grammercy park :) i also love the times when we used to go ice skating at the rink in central park.....and going christmas shopping along 5th Avenue...

so many memories..such a great city :p

i enjoy walking around the old streets of vigan.. checking out old houses and taking photos of the local people..

manila? err.. cant think of any specific moments :D

San Francisco hmm 1999 so I was like 16. It was my first time to go around and I was fascinated with the "gimmicks" of the homeless. They have these cardboard signs like FAMISHED or WHY LIE? I WANT BEER! or the ones who play reggae songs sa street and the gold guy. I haven't been to New York yet so I'm really excited to go there someday

Makati I was walking home from G4 and I saw a lovely couple at the back of peninsula. They were fighting, screaming and practically hitting each other. The people around them including me pretended to ignore them but after like 10 minutes they made up and kissed as in NECKING! I hope this wasn't a show

Here are my favorite moments:

New York-- getting off the wrong subway station and walking back to the Marriot the rest of the way while getting wet from the rain:D

Bangkok--- seeing a baby elephant walk by while eating in a resto

Paris--- lunch at this quaint chinese resto after a tiring day at the Musee du Louvre

Nice, France--- dinner in a bustling cafe while watching half the population walk by....meeting two french men while my sister and I took pictures by the blue Mediterranean and strolling along the Promenade des Anglais. French Riviera Excursion.

Venice--- ahhh..the gondola ride under the scorching sun..hehe

Chicago-- landing at O'Hare airport..hehehe :cool:

i went there alone, did the tourist thing (with matching lonely planet book) and although i did fall in love with the place, some areas spooked me, like the bantay tower and of course m. crisologo.

but going back to the topic ever,
Diliman moment din (yak gaya-gaya)

- tambay at the lobby and making lait :weg:
- parking lot and making lait.
- classroom first day of classes making lait

hoy making lait is an art ever! :lol:

camiguin-boracay cruise: walking on the sand at night.. sunbathing on the poop deck.. getting wasted in a bar.. the matrons dancing with their bading dance instructor (to the tune of macho man, with matching plastic chair pa).. playing ps monopoly.. spying from the bridge.. with two of my closest friends.

hongkong moment is running to 7eleven and buying cup noodles at 3am. wala pala kming hot water kaya tap water ginamit namin. plan didn't work :lol: we ended up with hilaw mami.. MTR tsim sha tsui. seeing the zobel teachers in the airport :redgrin:

sta. monica moment is walking along the cobblestones (yun ba yun), my cousin had a photography class that required pictures without using the flash at night. loved the lights.

agno moments.. sandy and lito and manang. yosi galore. agno logbook. cramming for COMPRO or DATBAS. freshmen elections.. people-watching while eating lito's porkchop or cheesesticks. making new friends. sitting on the asphalt, on the benches, on the log. the brad scare. ick. ok, enough memories.

my favorite Greenhills moment was chasing after the guy of my dreams across shoppesville and seeing tita annabelle rama in the same day (i was with imogen). winner. ever. :lol:

-walking around Central Park and the village wid friends
-watching the sun set from the AIG office downtown when i was in hs..
-riding the subway and waving at strangers on the opposite platform ...my friends n i find it weird but fun...we rarely do it though

My favorite Manila moment was when we drove to my Tita's place in Intramuros at night and marveled at its Spanish antiquities and the Roman/Art Deco architecture in downtown Manila. The lights were very romantic, too. It made me really proud to be a PINOY!

I have different favorite city experience:

1.) jogging early morning in washington d.c. wearing a ratty "Stoned" t-shirt. Buti hindi ako hinuli ng pulis at pinagkamalang addict. I love it...dami kong kasabay na joggers while at the back of my mind, iniisip ko pano kung ma-mug ako sa taas ng crime rate sa d.c.? Baka mauwi sa breakfast cereal mukha ko. :glee:

2.) austrian alps(hmmm...pano yan, di naman city ito). Eating apple struddles while singing "the hills are alive...." inside my head. Feel na feel ang pagka-"sound of music".

3.) lahat ng italian cities...kahit naples na medyo nakakatakot...OK PA RIN! :bow:

4.) Bagiuo: session road with my batchmates....buying loads of vegetables I was not familiar with(not a big veggie eater) :crazytongue:

just looking at the fountains dancing in bellaggio to the tune of "one singular sensation"...

Favorite any city moment is sitting quietly with a warm mug of coffee just before dawn breaks, and watching the rays of the sun spread across the sky. I love the peaceful atmosphere that comes with it, and watching as the city softly stirs to life...:)

Oregon-going to multnomah falls and just feeling the breeze and the water in my face and also going to the grotto where the mother mary was so lifelike na akala namin tao talaga pinagstatwa lang

Vancouver-playing bowling at Richmond(yung Chinatown nila) and hanging out at the Quay....

My favorite San Francisco moments were those times when we would ride the BART towards downtown from Daly City last October. The air was just right, not too chilly. We would go down at Union Square Station and walk around enjoying the sights. Going in and around Nordstrom and watching a movie or two. Eating at I-Hop... Then there was the joyride with my brother's friends at night to the Naval Park on the other side of the Golden Gate bridge and eating at some great Chinese restaurant afterwards. :)

walking down Gov. Forbes/Dapitan with my roommates and dormmates while we talk about where to eat dinner for the night - life used to be so easy!!

:hmm: it happens every time ..never fails to impress me ..

everytime I drive through the Bay Bridge or Golden Gate bridge towards Frisco...I don't know some structural terms but just driving through the Bay Bridge and seeing the columns rising in front of you ..the blue ocean on both side and the buildings of San Francisco to your left .... it's beautiful

Driving through the Golden Gate bridge with the Eagle's Peak/Sausilito to you right and San Francisco to your left with the ocean on both sides ...

Hornblower Cruise in SF

standing by Hyde street in Frisco as a cable car rolled by plus the spectacular view of the ocean and alcatraz

Seattle, as we eat at the Space Needle - the room rotates so you get a different view of the whole city everytime
Downtown Seattle to the market
Going to the the Bellevue art festival - I met painter Randy Beck and saw wonderful art works
Bellevue - my uncle taking me to Kurt Cobains neighborhood
Renton - driving by the cemetary where Jimmy Hendrix was buried - what a trip!!

my favorite nyc moment(s) (when i used to live in the city):

watching the ticker-tape parade with my friends when the yanks won the world series championship back in '99 (saw jeter and tino martinez up close :drool: )

when i was 11 and i first learned how to rollerblade in central park back in '93

walking along times square with my friends while acting "touristy" after watching a broadway show

christmas shopping in manhattan :) (the freezing weather was a pain though)

and the very very very best moment that i had when i was in nyc...my boyfriend came to visit me and we were walking along broome and mercer when out of the blue he leaned over and whispered (this was totally out of the blue!!!): i want you to be my wife someday. :heartbeat: :loveeyes: :heartpump: :inluv: i almost died. it might sound corny but he's not the demonstrative type so it really came as a surprise for me

katipunan moments (when i used to go to ateneo):

my best friend and i walking to dunkin doughnuts during a VERY VERY bad weather. sure we got wet by the rain but we were laughing our asses off

jogging around the campus with my dormmates

san francisco moments

my dad (a huge classic rock and roll fan) and i walking along haight-ashbury street and we saw a huge graffitti mural of jimi hendrix. he took a picture of me in front of it, making a "hang loose" sign with my fingers (he actually blew it up, framed it and gave it to me as a birthday present when i turned 19)

TX moments

driving home from school, with my windows rolled down and my favorite mix cd blaring from my car's stereo

my boyfriend and i driving around the "ultra-rich neighborhoods" and pointing out our "dream mansions" :lol:

swimming in our backyard pool at night in the summer
