(Para sa mga hindi nakakaalam, ang e-Pass ay contactless toll payment system sa Skyway at South Luzon Expressway. Prepaid toll ito, kaya when you subscribe to the e-Pass, makakadaan kayo sa mga toll lanes automatically kung may pera pa sa prepaid account ninyo. Hindi gaya dati na kukuha ka pa ng pera tapos bubuksan mo pa ang bintana o pinto tapos maghihintay ka pa ng sukli!)

its cool.... i save about 30 to 45 minutes from using the epass. especially rush hour on fridays. i use it in the skyway. very convenient. they should have epass at the coastal toll too

It's worth every penny (or cent, as the case may be) of the transponder unit. I'm not sure how much it costs now, but they used to sell it for P1600, with an initial load of P500. The time, gas, and all-around hassle you save from being able to use the special e-pass lane makes up for the cost of the unit in the long run.

As for problems, the whole system is computerized so the corresponding toll amount is automatically deducted from your balance at each entry and exit point. However, glitches have been known to happen and sometimes the amount is deducted twice. You can avoid this from happening by not tail-gating, allowing for enough time for the system to reset after the car before you has gone through, and driving through as soon as the gate is lifted, right after you hear the beep.
