The best make-up brushes ive tried ever is She Uemura. You can buy it in set. I don't know if they hav it here. I bought mine in japan but it's so expensive...that was 2 yrs ago. But you can still find a good one here. Be sure to test it first and make sure it's soft and it doesn't fall off.
:beauty: *okay*

violet18-Shu Uemura has a flagship store in SoHo(in manhattan)...it's near the Replay store between prince and houston. i believe they're also available in Sephora. The Travel Set with the bag is $45.

if you check out some other kikay thread, PePs lists down the essential brushes.
here's the link make up for beginners (http://www.pinoyexchange.com/forums/showthread.php3?s=&threadid=53320&pagenumber=1)
and here's PePs post
4OB -- Small angled brush for cake eyeliner and / or eyebrow definition.
Rounded Sable Blending Brush Medium [10 or 12] -- for blending powder or cream colors. could be used to apply concealer daw [sabi nung lady sa shu store] pero i haven't tried it.
5R and 4R preferably in Sable -- both brushes are small and tapered ideal for applying contours to your eyes.
Optional :
7OB -- great for applying thicker eye liner lines and even applying eye shadow. Slightly larger than the 4OB.
14H -- pwede rin for for eyes and cheeks but only for blending. NOT APPLYING.
Fan Brush -- my new favorite tool. For applying very sheer layers of color or of highlights. I use my Fan brush to apply a more intense pink color [wine series in shu] over a lighter color when I'm not satisfied with the color. I also use it to apply a shimmer [the Face Stockholm magic dust is great!] over my cheeks to apply the shimmer very, very lightly.

OR...if all else fails, you can go to target and get sonia kashuk's brush set for 14.95! tehe. they work well with whatever you're trying to do. and while you're there, you can check out her other make-up brushes for more than 50% less than shu's. just a thought. BUT if money's not an issue, knock yourself out!
