JasonFilAm
Oct 3, 2001, 04:19 PM
I've been communicating with the Basketball Coordinator of DLSU. I'm willing to try out for the baketball team but there's only one thing that really sucks.. since im a Fil-Foreigner, i'll have to red shirt for 2 years. I was just wondering if it would be a good move if i could just play for CSB. Im currently a senior and i go to Western High school here at Anaheim. Im really thinking it through and im anticipating for this.

give me your comments, suggestions, recommendations.. THANKS

I hope you're the real thing dude!

I think you have to serve about a year of school residency before suiting up for the team. Goodluck! :smokin:

Well.............I suggest that you try trying out for DLSU Green Archers team.......maybe you might get lucky........but if you're really sure you wanna play for CSB then why not? It's a good school and it comes from the La Salle institution. :)

Hi, Jason!

You'll be most welcome in CSB! I have some friends who are also trying out for the team and in the basketball team as well...

Since you're planning to study in CSB, what course are you planning to take up?

Don't worry with a lot of optimism and hardwork who knows maybe you'll get to play with the Blazers in the NCAA Finals next year...

Hey hey!.. the coach for the DLSU green Hills basketball emailed me and he told me that he will surely help me out. I want to be in the UAAP too but i got to red shirt for 2 years residency in DLSU. So he's recommending me to consider CSB as an option if i don't want to wait for 2 years. But i will see more on this!. the Rules might change next year he said. I am also tryoung out for the Green Archers team! He said that there's this "Farm Team composed of High school stars and most of them will never make it to the UAAP and he doesn't want me to end up like them. Thanks! for the reply on my thread

Jason Santos:

I think that going to CSB is a good option if you don't want to wait for 2 years in the UAAP. CSB is like DLSU in many ways. CSB also offers computer courses since you also want to be in a computer environment. CSB needs a player like you.

PEACE!!!

Ey, Jason

This is the CSB website at: http://www.csb.dlsu.edu.ph

Look at the academic courses for the description of the courses offered in CSB. For computer courses may I suggest:

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Major in Computer Applications (BSBA-CA)

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Major in Information Services Management (BSBA-ISM)

Bachelor of Arts, Major in Multimedia Arts

:) :D ;)

Hey Jason!

CSB is a nice College too. Although it's definitely a lot smaller than DLSU, but it's a great school. Considering that it comes from the La Salle insitution, the facilities are also one of the best I've seen. Heck, I woul've gone their if I wasn't accepted in DLSU. :)

Anyways, just like what you said in your previous posts, CSB is a good option for you if don't want to serve a 2 residency. Cause I don't that the NCAA(Philippines) has such a rule. CSB Blazers would definitely be needing some good players.

Nope dude. Clark "Pep" Moore is from the San Sebastian Golden Stags.

Haha!:D Im not a basketball player. What I mean is, sana sa Season 78 ng NCAA San Sebastian Golden Stags and St. Benilde Trailblazers ulit ang magkita sa finals!:D Mas cool kasi kung itong dalawang teams ang magkikita sa finals eh...

Goodluck to both teams na lang!

Animo Benilde!:D

HAHAHAHA!

Leave it to some NCAA degenerate to spoil a nice thread. PS2,jologs shaddap!!

Anyway, Jason, if you're the real thing good luck, pare. However, since this thread is out in the open, the NCAA Board may try to close you down since a lot of schools are envious of La Salle and CSB. Sana hindi mangyari ang witch hunt na nagaganap sa UAAP laban sa mga Fil-Ams/ Fil-foreigners.

Lahat naman tayo mga Pilipino di ba?

Good luck pare, ANIMO LA SALLE!

Jason,

Don't listen to terorrist trolls here like PS2 who badly needs a school, and just choose the school you think that's best for you regardless if it's Lasalle or Benilde or any other school that can give you the right education plus benefits to play for the team. Best of luck!

Hey Jason, I really do think that CSB is a good option for you - you should really try your luck there . . . but you should not restrict your option to just one choice, right? . . . i mean you should have choices - hey, thats what freedom is all about . . . like there is DLSU-Main, if you are good enough they will take you in just like Cardona who was just a walk-in during the tryouts and there is San Beda who is currently undergoing a major rebuilding process - you could part of SBC's plans . . . but the bottomline is, it is your choice . . . CSB is really a good choice . . . goodluck and hope to see you wearing the green and white soon !!!

PEACE !!! :) :) :)

San Beda??!!

That's the kiss of death dude.....If you want to be part of the rebuilding process of SBC (meaning you'll probably get a shot at a the bball crown in your 4 th year!!!) be my guest. Pero, you should consider La Salle or CSB.

But if you have tough luck with these 2 schools, you can always try out with the UAAP schools.

Remember aside from CSB, the best thing to move to are UAAP schools. Glamour, media coverage, professional.etc.

O siya, good luck na lang.

I'd have to agree with him..............

UAAP is way better than NCAA.......in terms of competition, media coverage, experience, exposure, and etc.

i think DLSU is a better option for you. even if you have to wait for 2 years, worth it naman yung wait mo because of the of "competition, media coverage, experience, exposure, and etc."

plus you will be a part of a dynasty! la salle will probably be on it's way to a 6-pete or a 7-pete by the time you play for la salle.

hi jason! i think that csb is a good option for you since the players there are really talented and i think that they'd need you to get the championship next season... though i'd suggest that you try out for dlsu first. anyway, good luck to you and i hope that you'd get to play for either one of the taft based teams!
