It depends on your type of fashion.
Bowling shoes are in. Check out Linea outlets, Esprit, Kenneth Cole or Traffic.
Some of People are People's leather shoes are nice as well. Beige Leather.

Bowling-inspired shoes are trendy these days, but look silly (e.g. Ronald McDonald silly) unless you know how to match with correct socks and pants.
Square-toed dress shoes are popular as well.
Soft, light Italian mocassins with the tread climbing up the back of the heel. I've seen them from Tod's and Prada. Wear w/ Italian-cut flat front slacks or khakis w/ no break, and no socks.
And never forget that your shoes and belt must match.

There's a relatively new store in Glorietta 2, Level 3, near Music One and Red Lane. It's called Wade (I think). Their shoes come from Hong Kong.. mostly sneakers. I bought one there and for the first time in my life, everyone (as in everyone) hasn't failed to not notice them. And for that, I still have to pay off my debts until now... hehe :)

There are more contemporary casual leather footwear which are preppier (the aforementioned soft leather mocassins / driving shoes). I agree with woofers, square-toed dress shoes are very popular these days.
Sneakers (And1, Nike Prestos) are definitely making a comeback (have they ever gone out of style?). The so-called bowling shoes are a bit too trendy for me, and seem to be suitable only for very casual / club wear.

While boat and deck shoes are no longer as hip as they used to be, I still like them. I think they'll always be acceptable sporty-casual shoes. I don't think you can say the same for the bowling shoes.
