Okay, okay.....we now know that a lot of you out there want to get 8250s, digicams, tech stuff, designer fashion accessories and cash for Christmas.....
But what are you going to get your friends, family and inaanaks for Christmas? Hmmm?
As they say, "it is better to give than to receive" di ba? Or as my friend, SHLLCB says, "kung anong itatanim, siya rin ang aanihin."
Hehehe..
Well?

hahaha!!! i forgot that.... the ever popular "give love on christmas day!".
but seriously though, i hope to get some tips for gift-giving from this thread.
for example, for the inaanaks....is pokemon still in? or what about those robot-type monster/creatures?
there's also this little girl who is in the transition stage from power puff to backstreet boys.....
and the list goes on and on....friends, bro, sis, cuz, parents, titas, titos, etc.....

friends' kids (inaanak)- clothes from Baby Guess coz i'd prefer if the parents were the ones choosing the toys for them. and if the kid was in between Powerpuff and BSB- go for the boyband. that way they'll like you even more coz you think they're getting "older".
my sister's daughter- she's askin' for a Gameboy Advance. my sis is gettin' the machine and i'm getting her a game cart.
my parents- my siblings usually pool our resoures to get sumthin' big. my dad wants a Lazyboy. poor Daddy won't get his wish this year.
friends get silly stuff like CDs, socks, brownies, ham, mugs, cards... depends on what they gave me the previous year
the boss will be getting a box of nice cigars not only coz he likes 'em- i also heard that smoking is hazardous to one's health.

Why is the LazyBoy so damn expensive? I had my dad's LazyBoy re-upholstered last Christmas & it cost me a fortune.
Are there alternative brands? I want a comfy reading chair for myself --- without having to spend P45000, that is.

i have no idea why those Lazyboys are so expensive- some of them aren't even in leather! i have this friend who has a sofa-recliner and looks exactly like a Lazyboy. it's an Italian brand (i forget which exactly) and it's cheaper by about 10K. we're doing research. hehehehe!

To avoid unwanted or wrong gifts, I usually give out gift certificates so that the recipient can just buy whatever he/she really wants.

One of my sisters will get her usual gift... money. Yan naman gusto nya e. The youngest sister..she'll get something from us... we pool our money (sister1 and me) together and get her something nice. My brothers... hmm..probably... one will get a new game for his gameboy..the other one... uhm..wag na siguro. D pa naman nya alam e. And he has everything he needs and want. Advantage of being the bunso...
Parents.... uhh.... I dunno pa e. How do u give gifts to people who are way richer than you are? :p Hirap d ba?
Oh btw, plugging lang po... nag bebenta po ako ng pillows para po pang regalo sa xmas. Iba't ibang sizes. Iba't ibang characters. So if u are interested, PM me. :D

for my inaanaks: i usually give money pero mukhang in kind lang ngayon at namumulubi nako sa dami ng inaanak ko (the last time I counted I had 28 godchildren!!!)
for my ate: a really funky card :beam:
for my kuya: a really cute card :bigteeth:
for my nephew Dominic: something that has to do with Lion King or Barney the Purple Dinosaur or Pokemon
for my other nephew Raymund: baby clothes!!!
for my mom: my mom usually replies 'I don't want or need anything!' when we ask her what she wants. And we know she means every word of it. But we love the look on her face when she gets a present, she gets happy and giggly and all. So we buy her anything just so we can show her how much we love seeing her happy :*)
my uncle: hhhmmmm...got to re-think that one....
my boyplen: this one too.... :evil_lol: :P
Gifts really don't need to be expensive, lalo na for kids. I buy my gifts in Divisoria/Greenhills/bazaars during the last week of October or the second week of November. I buy tons of small toys, and paper bags. Then I make loot bags for the kids who visit us.
happy shopping!!!!!!!

i'll be giving my mom another set of plastic containers (believe it or not, this is the ONLY thing she wants for Christmas! ) because she keeps losing the other ones since she's always cooking for relatives and friends. with that, any kitchen thingamajig that she would like... (i hope!)
for my sister, this tiffany necklace na "kinakantahan" niya since her last b-day pa. if the boyfriend doesn't get to it first, that is. :D
for my brother, either a gamecube or a couple of games na lang. really depends on my budget. :p
for a friend, an antique chess board. he really loves this game, and since his set is nearing obsolescence na, i think that it will be the perfect gift for him. :)
my best friend would be receiving a trip to a spa (with me, of course!;)) for full kikay treatment and a day of utter relaxation.
i will probably bake brownies and christmas cookies for other friends and relatives.
and since i don't have any godchildren, i'll be the inaanak who gets "pamasko" from all the ninong and ninangs and titos and titas this year. :glee:
