where would San Beda be? first, second, third, fourth o fifth choice mo?

Are you an insider sa San Beda? Management nila?!?!?! who are you kidding? nadadala ka lang sa image nila. Maybe you had their accountancy and philosophy programs in mind. But again, respectable lang ito and third or fourth choice at best.

As for their Law School, respectable din. However, ask most of the law students who apply for law and you'll get the same answer......... San Beda isn't their first choice. Actually bagsakan din ng mga di pumasa sa U.P. or Ateneo.

Letran can also compete with other schools like San Beda.. Flagship courses tulad ng Psychology and Management are also factors for the school's high academic standard. Would you think na nagtataas ng tuition ang school para kumita lang? I don't think so.. They also hire some strict and best professors unlike sa iba na nagpapabayad... Tsk Tsk Tsk.....

Mas mababait kasi ang mga Bedans eh. Kasi Benedictine doctrine sila. Madami kasi akong friends sa San Beda na cool kasama, so barkada kaming lahat, unlike sa ibang school. Very freaky. As in.. Medyo magkalapit lang kasi kami ng school ng San Beda eh..

As if hindi mo alam kung saang field nag-e-excel ang Baste. Ako hindi ko talaga alam kung saang field kayo nag-e-excel. As what rukawa_11 said, "I don't care."

Well, for my school, I think it's changing it's bad image na naman. Unlike 'nung ibang school diyan. Lalo pang nagiging war freak. As well for the courses, it's a challenge for those other barristers in other schools. Kasi we're competing with them naman. Saka PAASCU Level II accredited kami noh as well as San Beda, St. Scho, St. Paul and other private sectarian schools.. Unlike 'yung ibang school diyan. Hanggang (I know this kasi our professor have shown us the list of those accredited schools for the year 2001... Just check your campus registrar to see the complete list of schools. TAKE NOTE: Accreditation is not just based on the school facilities, but with the courses itself.. And if you were accredited, that means you're school does have good competing courses and well-preserved facilities...)

Kaya kayo, magmayabang kayo kung may maipagmamalaki ang school ninyo ha. Hindi 'yung naka base lang kayo sa history. Kesyo there are heroes who went there... Duh! :D

San Beda has an accreditation rating of level 3 in the PAASCU, not level 2 as claimed by the PEXer from San Sebastian.

The problem with students from supposedly more-enlightened universities like DLSU et al is that they seem to suffer from a superiority complex. I don't know what their teachers are feeding their brains but it seems that humility is not one of them. Do you people have a required subject in Being an ******* 101 or S.O.B. Science 102, because it seems that many of you are excelling in that area. The way you put down other people and the school they go to speaks much of where this nation is headed- to the friggin dogs. So much for uppity breeding and education.

Nevertheless not to put down others but to defend the good name of the Red White, let me point out a few things for you kids:

San Beda has never claimed to be the first choice of high school seniors and aspiring lawyers. But even if San Beda merely gets the run of the mill of the population of Filipino applicants, the school is still able to whip these students into citizens that are at par with their supposedly more intelligent counterparts from UP, ADMU and DLSU. Take the case of our accountancy and law graduates.

Bedans may not be the best applicants at the time they were refused entry into the "better" universities, but after undergoing the Benedictine education process they are able to hold their own against their colleagues. To say that people who do not make it into or through Ateneo or UP law school often settle for lowly San Beda is not telling the full story. Anyone who knows law schools knows that while it is easy to get into San Beda law, it is as far easier to get kicked out.

San Beda may be the fourth, fifth and so on choice for many students, but that does not mean that Bedans are second rate. While many narrow-minded alumni of the better universities scoff and belittle our school, they don't realize that Bedans can perform and excel with the best of them. I don't need to name any names. Only insecure ******** do that in the name of their schools.

We may not be the top bananas in politics, business, culture and whatnot but we are taught to bulid this country and not screw it. We all know how many alumni from the better school have screwed this country time and time again.

sabi nga ng mga unbiased ppl **, lahat naman ay may kanya-kanyang kakayahan...lahat naman ng schools naten ok. nagkakaiba lang ng price ng tuition kaya feeling ng iba, better ang school nila. pero an accreditation from PAASCU is something to be proud of...level 3 is the highest rating a "college" can get. level 4 is for "universities".

and i should say na the best law schools sa pinas ay ATENEO, UP, AT SAN BEDA (random). no need to fuss over kung alin ang "pinaka" kase every year naman ata iba ang nagta-top.

Actually, matagal na yung rumors of San Beda being a university. But the rumors I heard is that they are just going to move the college and let the high school stay in Mendiola. And I believe dapat lang San Beda becomes a university because I know na marami pang ikagaganda ng SAn Beda. And it would be another choice for future college applicants na even if they weren't able to pass the top 3 universities but have a lot of potential they can go to SAn Beda- I think they should focus on that market. San Beda is a sleeping giant waiting to be awaken. It would also boost the morale of a lot of Bedans.

CHS and LCC....... ok naman yun dalawa. i'd prefer CHS girls nga lang. magaganda, nice, down to earth, and not airheads.

sa law schools...... some of my friends did not even try and apply sa U.P. na because futile na raw and a waste of 900 pesos. about 3 sections lang daw yun kinukuha and they base it on your grades sa college AND the law aptitude test. Sa ateneo and beda na lang para may chance pa. And as for me..... wala naman mawawala eh so sige try lang. baka makatsamba!!

Dapat siguro ayusin nila ang recruitment program nila. They also betterget a respectable coach like Joe Lipa or something.

Siempre tipong if you have the best, you also attract the best.

If you have a coach which is known for his coaching prowess, he will be able to convince new players to study in Beda. That way, in 2 to 3 years they have a certified fighting team...not the bunch of wussies they now have.

I've been to San Beda and Letran grade school and high school repectively and i know that both institution should improve more on their systems to meet the demands of every students but to compare them with the universities i think it's a no-no since universities offers more courses than colleges. San Beda can cater a student from bracket A,B,C and i know every institution has flaws and weaknesses and i think these should not be the grounds to start bashing. We could comment but not to the extent of degrading them just to uplift our present institution.

Let's wait and see in the future of these two respected schools from the NCAA to prove they are not just wussies.

I did not say make San Beda a univeristy now. Who knows, this is just something to talk and to ponder about as for now- it's just opening the idea lang naman, it's still on the "what if's" stage pa muna. If it would take San Beda 50 years to become a university (patay na tayong lahat siguro nun) then good parin. Life is like a wheel my friend, sometimes you're up,sometimes you're at the bottom- you'll never know what the future holds- baka DLSU din mapagiwanan din ng panahon some day. "Roma non era costruito in un giorno"- Rome wasn't built in a day (as you said)

that's right ! San Beda has the highest rating for bar passers. I don't care about what school has the top 20 or whatsover but the most important how many bar takers from that institution can pass the bar exam.

Hey don't look at me. I just read that in an article in a newspaper.

Just like the entirety of your school, napag-iiwanan na rin ang low...ay law school pala ng SBC. Bulok bulok na nga ang mga facilities ninyo compared to Ateneo's newer facilities and UP's superior faculty.

Mga kaibigan ko nga na hindi pumasa ng UP then Ateneo and ended up in Beda feel that they are wasting their money on non-existent professors (hindi pumapasok!!) and poor facilities.

UST is gaining ground daw, SBC, sadly is losing its grip.

As I said, marami pa kayong dapat habulin and kung hindi kayo gagalaw, its bye bye San Beda. :toofunny:

Nice one Alkoholyk, and speaking of facilities, sabi mo SAn Beda should start running na... well we are and balita sakin ng mga Beda boys na they're really improving the facilities- before you think BIG, you must focus on the small stuff first. Try mong pumasok, it's a pity di ko na naabutan yung mga renovated facilities. But slowly gumaganda na siya and they will build a sports complex na rin. There's no way for San Beda to go but up. Basta I know, DLSU has lots of consistencies, and nakikita ko. DLSU is not perfect ya know. Baka DLSU might end up like the Twin Towers, everybody thought walang mangyayari dun, pero after an hour and 45 min, it just crumbled to dust- get the analogy?

Its not that they do not love San Beda (siempre napamahal na rin sa kanila ang beda) kaya lang bulok nga daw talaga ang mga facilities.

May mga renovation? Eh di mabuti.

Atsaka never ko sinabi na perfect ang La Salle. In fact marami ngang maling pamamalakad sa aking pamantasan. Still, you can't take away the fact, na behind-na-behind na ang beda.

Lahat ng mga sinabi nyo, mga defense mechanism na lang yan eh. Siempre, wala na kayo sa undergraduate studies, mawawala pa ba ang pride ninyo sa law school? wawa naman.

how can u say na behind na ang beda eh, we are still one of the best performing school sa cpa board exams. and i doubt kung may ibang mag-aagree sayo na behind na ang beda in terms of education. not even your friends would agree to that, i'm sure.
kasi kung hindi maganda ang beda eh hindi sila maglalaw doon. at wag mong idadahilan na bumagsak sila sa up at ateneo kaya sila nag beda, dahil college lang ang beda hindi university.
