need help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there!!! I'm a new PEXer. I just thought you guys could help me out in my assignment. I just want to know your opinion regarding the establishments of "foundations." You see, I'm doing an evaluation on a particular foundation in our country. Of course, the information that I gathered from the Internet and from their own office have only positive things to say about the foundation. But when I talked to my prof, he told me that the reason big corporations/companies establish foundations is because of the tax reduction they will be getting. According to him, the government gives an incentive of 10% tax reduction to those companies who will put up a foundation. Do any of you know about this stuff? Anyway, your opinion would definitely help me with my paper, so I just want to seek your opinions about the advantages and disadvantages of foundations. Are they really of big help to our society? Or are they only serving their interests? What do you think? Please, please, please, I need your help. And if any of you know something about the dirty tricks of big companies and their foundations, please let me know.

well... OK yung mga environment-conscious & general welfare-concerned foundations... yung mga Save Wildlife & Help Streetkids kinds. for one thing, they do help out the community (or even the entire nation, for that matter) with the services they dole out, yung mga tipong stuff that nobody would usually even dare think of doing. meron talagang 10% tax deduction or so kse nga syempre, yung fundings ng foundations ay usually sa services & maintenance napupunta... kahit naman private schools na walang kwenta ganun din e, na tipong yes, they contribute to society by providing education for a fee, pero all for selfish ends naman. i think foundations are better, in the sense na mas selfless & noble hangarin nila. kung may anomalies, well, that can't be helped. lahat naman ng sector ng society meron eh.
