The defending champs' gallant stand

After going through four straight must-win games, the law of averages finally caught up with College of Saint Benilde Blazers as they bow out of contention in the Final 4. Nevertheless, they put up a gallant stand befitting a defending champion.

It was a tough game to win. JRU was Hot, everybody was contributing and playing outstandingly. While the Blazers were quite erratic. Nonetheless, the Blazers were able to cut the lead from 30 to 12; an almost amzing comeback.

Now its time to look forward to next season, there are things to work on, this team can still improve in many facets but it takes heart and dedication of the team and the whole School.

To the Benildeans, GOOD SEASON!

It was a tough game for d blazers...I know it's difficult for them but we should be proud for what they did...they played w/ their heart...that's the reason why they forced a rubber match with the bombers...to my friends...and to the blazers...YOU MADE THE IMPOSSIBLE TO REACH THE FINAL 4 WHEN EVERYONE THINKS YOU COULD NOT MAKE IT ANYMORE! you have already proved your critics wrong...

I'm really proud sa CSB Blazers. Kahit natalo sila, nakita naman natin kung gaano sila naghirap para lang makapasok sa final 4. I'm sure makakabawi tayo next year. I hope the CSB team learned from their mistakes. Ok lang yan... may next year pa!

It seemed like Sunday Salvacion had his day off...:(

What I noticed was that the Blazers did not use their big men...Al Magpayo was on the bench and only Jon Dan Salvador was doing the dirty work...eh nado-double team siya...may height advantage naman ang Benilde sa JRU...ang big man lang ng Heavy Bombers ay si Joel Finuliar, who was already in foul trouble...

Also, they pushed the panic button too early, taking shots off the three-point area (which was ok because Mark Magsumbol burned hoops from there to catch up) but they did not make use of the same tactics they employed in their earlier wins over JRU.

Sayang, but then again...it's just a game.

Too bad nga lang for CSB because I heard that there a re a lot of players who will be leaving the team this year...they were given offers to play in the PBL...and this NCAA season was supposed to be their last hurrah if ever.

Blazers were "tambak" but we kow they did their best!!;) If you team won, well, congrats!!! are you not happy for that na kailangan mo pa manlait?:mad: at least the Blazers won twice vs JRU and that's not "chamba".:D parepareho lang tayo talunan dahil natalo din kayo e. we were proud when we won but we don't have to tease the team who lost. May next season pa naman Blazers!!!!:cool:

I want a STAGS-BLAZERS Finals once again! Kaso Heavy Bombers ang makakalaban natin eh.

Anyway, goodluck to you Benildeans next season! You've showed everyone a very good fight! And most of all, sports kayo... Although some insects and pests:D are trying to bash your school.. That's a good move in gaining the crown in the future!

I do hope kayo ulit makalaban namin sa Finals sa mga susunod na seasons.. (That's if the Stags will then have the opportunity to enter the Finals again and again on the incoming seasons of the NCAA):D

mejo badtrip nga ako nung natalo kayo ng JRU dahil parang nasayang lang yung OT Game between LETRAN vs CSB na dahilang hindi pumasok ang KNIGHTS sa Final 4. Let's admit na malakas lang talaga ang JRU this season and they are ripe to get the championship.

While misyon rejoices in the fall of the defending champs like the WTC incident, we commend the heroes of the game, the spectators, the believers of the ANIMO SPIRIT and the team and coach. Law of averages or just the hungrier Bombers, who knows? The Blazers fought hard even if we were down by as much as 30 points. It was a good day to die! :up:

Hopefully, the JRU-SSC finals would be exciting. JRU star player and NCAA MVP Ernani Epondulan reminds me of Vergel Meneses. He should be in Ginebra soon! :up:

You see, every insitution has its own stumbling block, it may be

I'm a student of Benilde. And I abhor your statements about the
institution we're in.

I love the Ncaa as much as I love sports. But Its sad to see that
these indivuals (fikl3, misyon, honey and the likes...) are the
degrading part of what should be improving. I mean, we should
be happy that we are still studying, and we are part of the one of
the most oldest and prestigous collegiate sports league. We still
should be happy we are still alive kicking a$$! :mad:

(oK Lang ang Skul rivalries sa Sports, "pero sa inyong mga
bashers ng Benilde, FOUL na yung ginagawa nyo.) I mean,
(panget na ang binibigay nyong image sa ibang tao, at syempre
narin sa Uaap.)

We should accept good criticism, that's for improvement right!?
