Since Wap brings into the cellphone the power of the internet there are olredy a lot of applications. so are you speaking of applications perse?

a good thesis i think would be on voice command for activation of wap services. this would be a more effecient way for let's say on the road?

Interesting but I have yet to see a cellphone do this. I think what the poster wants is something that can be done in wml.

got a question: nag-boom ba ang WAP dito sa pinas?

i think hinde. that's probably why pikpakpu is asking for
other killer applications para sa WAP.

im no WAP user, but i think i know the reason why.
1. because WAP service is expensive. magkano nga ba ang mag-browse sa WAP? i have no idea, pero sabi nila mahal daw.

2. because the GSM bandwidth for WAP is limited to 9.6 Kbps
kaya sabi nila mabagal daw ang wap.
now how would you justify to place another killer application sa WAP kapag ganito ang bandwidth? you think its good to load tons of graphics onto wap? don't think so.

3. There is however, an new technology (actually hindi na nga bago ito) that could replace WAP technology. that one that uses GPRS, Bluetooth and IEEE (i forgot the number) technology.
this one offers greater bandwith than what GSM provides for WAP.
dun pwede mo nang makita yung kausap mo.
now that's  cool!!

yup i know. wap is so expensive. sabi ng prof namin, if you're gna use mobile technology, dapat imopulsive yung need. i mean, yung gagamitin mo ng biglabiglaan. yung past wap applications na ginawa sa school namin: atm locator and ticketing system. galing daw sobra.
