The defending champions will be severely tested in their next game. Up against the front running JRU, CSB must win its last game to claim the last Final 4 slot. A loss would tie them with PCU, but the Dolphins' superior margin against the Blazers would automatically advance PCU to the semis.

Are the reigning champs up to the challenge? :D

This reminds me of the impossible feat the Blazers did last year to UPHR wherein they were the last assignment in the 2nd round and then met them twice again in the final four. Expect heavy resistance from the heavy bombers and if coach Dong does something miraculous in order for the team to beat the Bombers, expect the Blazers fighting for the crown once again. :up:

Another thrilling matchup ensued as the Blazers once again defeated the Heavy Bombers to force a rubber match for the championship berth in the NCAA.

Ernani Epondulan was still recovering from his injured finger as the Blazers took it to their advantage that JRU's main man was not playing 100% to take shots from the perimeter and off fastbreaks. The Blazers scored 27 points off fastbreaks as JRU, usually leading in fastbreak points, only converted 12 points off their own fastbreaks.

Sunday Salvacion scored his season-high output of 39 points along with six triples for the Blazers' second straight win over the Heavy Bombers.
