med schools in manila

i am applying to med schools in manila this month, and i would like to ask any of you to give me some info about the different schools. thanks! :)

these are some medical schools in the metropolis

when you are talking of the best medical school in manila its always a toss up between u.p. and u.s.t. for frist place. they produce the most board top notchers for the past ten years. battling for their and fourth is f.e.u. and u.e.r.m. these four schools also has a good record with regards to percentage of passing the medical board exams. another advantage is that most hospitals offering residency training programs have consultants who are graduates of these schools themselves so in terms of being accepted in residency training, you definitely will have an advantage above the rest. so in my honest opinion i think you should go for any of these "top four medical school in our country".

my parents want me to go to UP kasi its the best daw in the country. it has the best faculty, provides the best training, etc. the thing is, i am from Ateneo and yung trend is that every year, mga 2 lang from our school ang nakakapasa sa UP. sobrang stiff ng competition! :hopeless: so i was thinking of going to UST if hindi ako makapasa sa UP kasi sila and UP ang madalas ng nagto-top ng boards. some of my friends, however, say that UERM daw is better than UST. :hmm: please comment on this. thanks!:)

UST should always be the first choice. If that is not possible, there will always be other medical schools.

Let's say you have 100 friends blabbering that UERM is better than UST, but I have friends around the world, like thousands of them, saying that UST is the best. But hey, like you, I have friends who say that UERM is better than UP. :)

trust me lilia i'm not talking of my opinion here but personal experience! if you are choosing among u.p. and u.s.t. both of them are good. i would not say even that anyone is better than the other. although u.p. has a good reputation that it had maintained through the years, u.s.t. whether were talking of facilities, faculty or medical board exams. results is about the same as u.p. if not in certain aspect better. u.e.r.m. better than ust i don't think so and i can prove you that. if you want furhter information i will tell you my basis, write to me at www.dencioturkey@pinoymail.com. no meant to bluff i just want to help and i honestly think i'm the best person who can help you.
