Hey guys,
I was wondering if you could help me seek institutions who offer scholarship grants for post-graduate studies. I'm planning to take up further studies, but I have no idea at all what institutions I should look for. Details and true-to-life accounts/stories are also welcome. Help please...thanks!

you could always check out the big universities all around the philippines (if you plan to study in the philippines). i know UP offers scholarships and grants. or if you plan to study abroad, the British Council, Thomas Jefferson and other international agencies would be very glad to help you. you could also find scholarship grants sa internet or pumunta ka sa mga student affairs (or whatever they call that) offices sa mga university campuses. they usually post that on bulletin boards.
my mom got hers sa university kung saan siya nagtuturo. actually, they offered to finance her MA sa UP. right now, she's going over several applications offered by some schools and universities abroad, if ever may distance education for those who wants a Ph.D degree on language teaching. i guess she got that from the internet and the British Council.
good luck!

well, you can always try the UP website. or visit the British Council Information Center at the ground floor of taipan place in ortigas (emerald avenue). they have a separate help desk for those who are interested in obtaining scholarships for those who wish to pursue further studie in UK (whether through distance education). sorry, kasi di ko memorized yung websites na pinupuntahan ng nanay ko...but i'll try to post them next time. :)

DOST no longer has the funds for overseas scholarships -- at least until the year 2003.
Try the British Council, Shell Philippines and Fulbright.

For DLSU, call or visit their STUFAP office or visit the website at www.dlsu.edu.ph Being granted a scholarship is easy as long as you meet their requirements...undergrad grades, letter to the director justifying financial need, employer and faculty recommendations, etc. Try it I was given a grant. :)
