In stating your point, kindly acquaint us with the qualities of the institution you're voting for, it's advantages over the other colleges/faculties, and... uh, how the populace are in each college (How would you describe them?).

By the way, I was debarred from Science. **** that Bernas freak.

I got my Job here in the States bec. I'm from the Faculty of Engineering. Kidding aside, universities here and our faculty have the same curriculum. We are equally MAGALING. I don't have to take additional courses or something!

As a thomasian na galing din sa college of science, totoong marami ngayong freshman and sophomores na pretty pero kung iko-compare mo sa ibang college e konti na yun. Lamang nga lang tayo kasi mas respetado college natin pero siguro aaminin nyo na ang building natin ang pinaka-boring, laging huling mag-suspend ng klase, after a party me pasok kinabukasan (take note: me test pa) at maraming weird na teachers including Wi-NOSE-nya Wider (wynona ryder) na si Bagarino at si Pop diva CHER na si Bernas, dagdag mo pa si LIM, at yung otistik na si NIPA, samahan mo pa ng CALINGASAN at "ang dali-dali ano?!" YAMBAO ibawas mo si SARREAL to complete the line-up si "Is that a t-shirt?" Mr. SEE and you have a circus college of science with boyoyong clowns teacher.:D .......well ok si ma'am Cha ng icsd at si Ward ng languages to be fair:cool:

Amen ako dyan!! SCIENCE is the best!! I used to be in Science, 2 years, and i can say na those were the best years!! super desperate nga akong bumalik kaso ala na ako choice eh...
I like SCIENCE not because galing ako don, pero i see na don masaya, nandon lahat ng happenings and everybody looks up to SCIENCE.. i have room mates dati na galing ng iba-t ibang colleges and they share the same ideas with me... na mas ok talaga sa SCIENCE.. :)

Since I come from the Faculty of Engineering, I would try to enumerate some traits/descriptions that most Engineering students carry... as I claim:

- Cowboys (very flexible & low-maintainance)
- Very active (Despite the tight schedule and difficult courses, we are still involved in most of the known organizations in ust, kahit religious orgs... unlike those from other colleges and faculties, they would think that religious orgs are corny)
- Intelligent (very competitive, especially in quiz contests such as the Pautakan)
- Fun to be with & easy to please
- Well-rounded (can do other things besides Math, Science and Drawing)
- Damn proud to be Engineering Students

yah i agree! ECE student ako... and i'm damn proud! one of our psysch profs told us that our faculty doesn't accept applicants with IQs of lower than 110 (above average, Stanford-Binnet). yah i agree! ECE student ako... and i'm damn proud! one of our psysch profs told us that our faculty doesn't accept applicants with IQs of lower than 110 (above average, Stanford-Binnet). Was the aptitude test considered the IQ test? I don't think so(light years from it). I don't think that would equate to the Stanford-Binnet standards ( your professor must be boosting your ego or ask him to test you/ your block). & UST does not know how high your IQ is.

Batch 86 ako. Nung time ko Arts and Letters ang pinakamagaling. Yun ang pinaka-home ng mga aktibista, mga nakikialam sa isyu ng lipunan. I was supposed to graduate in 1985 but owing to the student movement, we were always out on the streets. If I remember it right, nung 1985, yung class nila sa Philosophy which had two sections then, 2 graduated magna cum laude and about 5 graduated cum laude. Jane Zantua was one who graduated magna cum laude. Roland Marquez belonged to this batch and graduated cum laude. Behavioral Sciences students were great so did Economics majors. Becky Anonuevo graduated cum laude in Literature and Translation. Glenda Gloria, who's with PCIJ now, graduated with a degree in Journalism. Of course, Political Science students, especially those who belong to Batch 86, were some of the best this university had ever produced. My batch -- my major was Sociology -- was not bad either. We had very good students during my time, which of course included me. Hehe.

When we have time, friends from UST meet and we couldn't help but reminisce about the prestige we felt when people knew that we came from this university. I'm not sure now where we stand in terms of prestige. But we're still positive though. Thomasians are known to fight and never give up. I believe a measure of how good a college or a faculty at the university is its social involvement. I hope Arts and Letters is still leading the way in keeping the students abreast of issues of the day. We have a very strong tradition of student involvement in the college and I could only hope that AB people continue keeping the flame alive. Thomasian forever!

of corz college of science. taga-dun ako e. and besides, yun namn talaga ang forte ng ust. pati pharma. Yung mga nasa main building. kasama lang naman ang pinakamatataas na officials ng ust. Mga courses na iniingatan because of the university's reputation. grabe ang selection process. unfortunately nagiging bagsakan na 2 nung mga hindi nakapasok sa quota sa nursing. wala na talaga yatang gustong maging future doctors! do students from up nga admire the grads ng cs. iba ang aral s cs noh! of course, i revere *** mga taga-medicine. diyos na ang tingin ko sa kanila. bukod sa mayayaman, ubod ng talino!

Well madaming PEXer na taga Science kaya puro Science sagot dito. As a thomasian na galing din sa college of science, totoong marami ngayong freshman and sophomores na pretty pero kung iko-compare mo sa ibang college e konti na yun. Lamang nga lang tayo kasi mas respetado college natin pero siguro aaminin nyo na ang building natin ang pinaka-boring, laging huling mag-suspend ng klase, after a party me pasok kinabukasan (take note: me test pa) at maraming weird na teachers including Wi-NOSE-nya Wider (wynona ryder) na si Bagarino at si Pop diva CHER na si Bernas, dagdag mo pa si LIM, at yung otistik na si NIPA, samahan mo pa ng CALINGASAN at "ang dali-dali ano?!" YAMBAO ibawas mo si SARREAL to complete the line-up si "Is that a t-shirt?" Mr. SEE and you have a circus college of science with boyoyong clowns teacher.:D .......well ok si ma'am Cha ng icsd at si Ward ng languages to be fair:cool:

don't worry, i consider the faculty of arts and letters as ONE of the brightest faculty/college in the university. batch 2005 ako and i think hindi pa rin nawawala ang glamore ng AB when it comes to prestige and brilliant students. ONE evidence would be the 5-peat championship of the AB PAUTUKAN team na isang history sa UST.

batch 05 ako, Ab legal management. sa mga pumunta ng faculty of civil law number 1 and 2 came from ab leg ma (both were w/ latin honors, magna cum laude and cum laude respectively.) yung mga pumunta naman sa ateneo law school ay bumabandera din daw.hehe,

in fact yung batch 06, ang university valedictorian came from AB communication arts. astig.

pero i won't discount other colleges esp. college of science, eng, arki at marami pang iba lalo na med.magagaling din sila.
