need tips for my debut!

Hi guys... baka naman pede kayong magbigay ng mga hotel na pedeng maging venue... tsaka mga give aways ano bang maganda???

...well, depende sa budget mo......

for me the nicest hotel is either shangrila edsa or manila pen......pero you have to book early kasi sobrang mahirap maghanap ng slot.....:)

as for the give away.....hhmmm.....sobrang baduy na yung shot-glass and yung mga things na natatambak lang......for me maganda yung liitle cakes or kung makakahanap ka ng cheap silver pendant, or birth stone mo......i'm sure meron noon na mga less than P50 each.....:)

pero if ur on a budget pero gusto mo pa rin sa hotel......meron malapit dito (makati)......they have a function room na ok.....:)

anyway, i wish i was able to help......if you want i could even ask my friends kung saan mura and kung saan sila nag-pagawa ng invitations, etc.......:)

madaming hotel dyan.. depende sa budget mo.. and yung iba nag-ooffer din ng giveaways, kasama na sa package.. if you want scented candles, di na uso ngayon yung mga giveaways na naghahakot lang ng alikabok sa bahay. :thumb:

thanks sa mga replies nyo ha... ang budget ng parents ko hangang 2 hundred thou... may frends kse akong nagsabi na maganda daw yung sa poolside tapos magflo-float ng mga candles dun sa pool... maganda ba?? ano bang mga hotel yung maganda yung poolside?ksao baka naman ulanin.. hehehe... december pa naman sya eh... eniweys... i really appreciate ure suggestions...:)

try mo sa westin philippine plaza.. pwede kasi ang wedding sa poolside non.. ewan ko lang kung pwede din sa debut.. o kaya sa coconut palace.. may pool din don.. for giveaways naman, scented candles na may konting decoration... :)

pwede ding giveaway yung bag or shoe na pang-display..:flwrface: i saw this sa robs ermita, may booth sila sa new wing.. :flower: hindi ko nga lang sure yung price..

yup! try mo sa coconut palace. i have a friend who had her debut there. luau/hawaiian yung theme ng debut niya so she had candles and stuff floating on the pool tapos naka-hawaiian outfit siya...with flowers on her hair, leis and stuff. basta the works! she also served kebabs/barbecue to keep up with the theme. so may pagka-informal din yung party kasi everyone was dressed up in hawaiian outfits. pero it was cute, fun, and unique.

for the more formal type of debut, magandang venue ang makati shangrila, manila pen (ganda ng lobby), or manila hotel (their maynila ballroom is super nice).

isa pang suggestion, another friend of mine naman had her debut sa isang yacht/boat/whatever called the tennessee walker. it was a nice and unique formal party kaso problema lang doon she had to cut down her guest list (kasi limited lang yung capacity ng tennesse walker) and they had to leave the latecomers. if u have a debut like this, u should make sure that your guests come on time para walang maiwan.

yun lang mga suggestions ko for the venue of your debut. for your giveaways naman, y don't u give ur guests silver bracelets (silver jewelry in baguio is super cheap lang so siguro u can do ur shopping there) or whatever. something they can use naman. don't give them figurines kasi parang kalat lang mga 'to sa bahay. pwede rin ang stuffed toy. my friend gave out teddybears wearing a tshirt with her name printed on it in her debut.

or isa pang suggestion, u can give out cds--yung tipong compilation of your favorite songs. mura lang naman gumawa ng cd ngayon, especially now na marami na ang may cd burner. u can even design the cover yourself..make it a parang mini album with pictures of yourself (baby pics din!) with your family and friends.

i had mine sa Diamond Hotel for around P130T for 150 people. What do you want ba? Ilang tao? anong amenities gusto mo?

uy mga sister.. thanks sa mga suggestions... grabe... ang gaganda at sosyal ng mga suggestions nyo ha! pero sa tingin ko naman kaya naman.. hehehhe... hirap pa lang mag plano ng ganto kapag wala parents noh?? eniweys... nde par in ako makapg decide kung saan... tska mga 100 people lang naman yung estimate ko eh so medyo konti lang... yung tungkol naman sa give aways i think mas maganda nga yung something useful.. like bracelets or scented candles.... thank you talaga mga sister... :)

hello!! why not check some condominiums out, may iba sa kanila ok yung penthouse nila wid the pool and all. or mga sports club rin. hmmm 100 pax lang invite mo, so di mahirap maghanap ng place :) wid give aways naman, y not ask someone to make u some cds, u know wid ur favorite songs in them. mura nalnag magpagawa ng personalize cds and magugustuhan pa yan ng mga friends mo dba? make ur own cover pa.
if ur not after the pool thing, try via mare tektite. ok yung ambiance nya especially at nite coz nakikita mo yung buong city its really beautiful :*) well, gudluck sa debut mo!! enjoy!!:cool:

Besides the 18 candles and 18 roses. Try to incorporate 18 shots and 18 treasures to add more meaning to your special occasion. :smokin:

i once attended a debut party in aberdeen court ok naman. it's a 3-star hotel in quezon ave. less a hundred thousand lang nagastos ng host. bawiin mo na lang sa bonggang souvenir. ok din ang food don. generous servings. busog ang guests mo! may free overnight stay pa kayo sa isang room nila.

hi! i suggest that you try to put in 18 serenades. . . when i celebrated my eighteenth bday, i decided not to have the 18 roses but instead i had the serenades. . . it was really fun hearing your guy friends sing.:D that is if you're willing to deviate from the conventional. . .:)
