Hi all...

I'm taking a very short vacation in the Philippines (10 days) and will spend those in Manila so I can spend some QT with my BF. Need some ideas of what places we can visit (that we can get to by car - not more than a couple of hours drive though) while I'm there. Beaches, resorts or even nature tripping - any suggestions. PLEASE???

Is your BF Filipino too? What have both of you seen already? What do you both like to do? :)

Yup, my BF is Filipino (he lives there in Manila but is from Pampanga). I've been to Cebu and around Subic/Olongapo (cause my mom is from Zambales). Other than that, I've just done enough malling to last a lifetime :) He's a beach go-er, water loving type. I'm more a land person, like sight-seeing cause I grew up here. A bit of both would do me fine though....

Does that help? Or do you need to know budgets?

You can visit Tagaytay, more than an hour drive from Manila by car, depends on the traffic of course where you can see the smallest volcano in world. The climate is cool due to its location. There are lots of things you can do there: nature tripping, hiking and the like.. There are several hotels/resorts in the area where you can stay.. i can give you discounts in Days hotel since i'm a member there if you wish to.. You can also visit several places in Laguna for their famous hot springs and resorts. From Tagaytay, you can go to several beaches in Nasugbu and Calatagan(Evercrest) or in Cavite.. If you're from Zambales, you can revisit SUBIC, where there are lots of new Hotels and Resorts such as Subic Int'l, Legend Hotels, or White Rock Beach Resort which can be reached in more than 3 hours from Manila. You can also try Baguio City, five hours drive from Manila..

handsome I'd like to squeeze in a lot of those things and, considering they're only a few hours drive from Manila, it looks like I'd see more of the Philippines in 10 days than I have in my entire 19 year existence (admittedly growing up in Sydney kind of made that impossible).
There's a place in Cavite I read about...a resort called Splash Mountain I think? I'd like to go there as well as Enchanted Kingdom (I want to get me one of those funny looking magician stuffed toys). What other amusement parks/resorts should I make it a point of visiting?
I'd like to get to Baguio - I've heard it's nice there. Is it really that cold? It's winter here in Sydney right now and were getting temperatures as low as 2 degrees C. What's the best way of getting there - hire car or commute??
As for Subic, I'm kind of sick of their resorts (I've been to White Rock,Cale [wrong spelling I think], and Anne Raquel's - sorry not familiar with the names).

shesALLthat Sama ka sa Villa Escudero?
