Question No 1:

Do you think Noisy Cricket should get a haircut?

If you had only P50,000 to spend for your wedding, how would you spend it?

Well MY parents didn't spend a cent to get married.. ok maybe a few cents.. but the FIRST time they got married, they just ambushed a Jesuit WITHOUT A MARRIAGE LICENSE  (My dad goes, "What's that..?" ).

They had just my mom's parents, her US roommate, and her US roommates' friends. Their reception was at the Jesuit cafeteria where they had pila-pilahan style food.. Tray.. *glop* mashed potato *glop* roast beef..

Good grief! But they said it was da best anyway.. :teehee:

I want to get married in the morning and have a dinner reception. Is there anything wrong with that?

It might be inconvenient for your guests, though. Especially the elder folks? I dunno.

OK, how about this?

What if we had our wedding (really private) on one day, and had the reception several days later? Are such things done in this country? Are there any adverse effects on our social reputations? ;)

PurpLe712 hey, i know of a choir that sings for weddings. i can help you out on this. don't worry, they don't charge much and they're pretty good naman. you can even sit in during one of their practices to check them out. e-mail me at blue93@netlane.com :)

Regarding the musicians, you can check out Bernie Pasamba's group. They're good, and their rates are very reasonable.

Two of my cousins got married early afternoon, and both their receptions were held at night. One of them had a second reception one week later in Cebu, while the other, in the U.S. West Coast. We also get a lot of wedding invitations where there are significant time gaps between the wedding and the reception, and okay naman. Based on our family's experience, there were no strange looks, raised eyebrows or whispers if you put a gap between the wedding and the reception.

what are the do's and don'ts of weddings?

how long is the ideal planning stage?

if you have relatives coming from abroad, is it understandable that you have to pay for their airfare and accommodations?
