I don't really think that this is such a good idea. No offense to the players of this year's batch of UAAP hoopsters but there really aren't as many impact players this year to fill up a line-up of 24 all-star players.

And three point shoot-out, maybe the Ateneo team would like to participate! ;D

The three point shootout is a good idea but it might be too late to organize one.

The All Star Game might be deviating too much from the point of college athletics. These players play for loyalty to their school and it will be difficult to divide the schools up in two teams. Maybe an all star selection from the UAAP schools can play a selection from the NCAA schools. That might be a better idea.

nix: anong loyalty to their school?!? for fun lang naman 'to eh. Hindi nga nila kailangan mag- practice together. It's just a game for the fans to see their favorite players in action. Karamihan naman ng mga all-star games(kahit sa NBA) hindi "seryoso." For fun lang talaga siya.

Sa division of schools, madali lang:

top 2 and last 2 teams

versus

middle 4 teams.

The all-star game is a good idea. There is enough material in the UAAP to form two powerhouse teams. The only problem is how the eight teams will be grouped. If I recall well, there was an all-star game of sorts a few years back, when UST won the crown via a sweep. The game was between the UST team and the UAAP All-Stars. In fact, UST almost won the game…what an embarrassment that would have been! It was staged at the Cuneta Astrodome, I think.
