Tristan Codamon is the next Kenneth Duremdes! Just give him a few more years makaka-pagdala siya ng championship sa Adamson! Sigurado akong mananalo siya ng rookie of the year. Ang pinaka-kalaban niya lang siguro ay si Bravo ng U.P. Depende na lang siguro kung aling team yung may mas mataas na record sa pagtapos ng season.

Tristan Codamon is a very good player but it's only early and you never know what will happen during the rest of the games.

Bravo of UP is not a rookie. I think he was actually the MVP of the NCAA high school for San Beda and was heavily recuited by La Salle along with Xavier Nunag.

Other rookies that are worthy of attention:
BJ Manalo (DLSU): I've been told that he will get a lot more playing time in the second round and he is definitely capable of making a big splash.
Avenido (FEU): His numbers are very consistent and his team is winning.
Richie alvarez (ADMU): His heart and mental toughness is questionable but he's got the talent so you can't count him out.

But I agree that Codamon has the inside track right now.

Kaboom, here's hoping you can make a little research. Edsel Feliciano of the Mapua High was the NCAA juniors MVP during the final year in high school of Bravo and Nunag together with Adonis Sta. Maria. Edsel Feliciano is now on his second year with the Mapua Cardinals while Sta. Maria was taken in by LaSalle. Therefore you're right Bravo and Nunag are in their second years with UP.

Anyway, I here the Codamon guy is quite good. I believe Adamson has the potential, only, they've got really new players. Some more years and experience, I'm sure they can master their craft too.

And despite whisperings about La Salle's recruitment, I just feel great that we've been able to get most NCAA Junior MVPs (sayang si Hubalde!) in the '90s. And, except for Don Valerio (who had bad knees), they all carried the Green and White well.

My apologies to Mr. Feliciano and everyone for declaring Bravo MVP of the NCAA. Thanks for the correction Rektikano. It was in the NIKE 3 on 3 that Bravo wont he MVP and was able to compete in the states with teammates Nunag and Marcos.

I'll have to get back to you on the UAAP MVP's since I've only been here 4 yrs. but off the top of my head, here's the MVP's since last year up to when I got here: Espiritu, Villanueva, Pamintuan, Francisco.. like I said, I'll do more research and get back to you.

I share Don's sentiments about Manalo winning the rookie of the year. Hubalde also might sneak in and make some noise since he's getting a lot of playing time.
