I'm not really very interested in clothes, but since I'll be working na after my gradution this term, I have to look for a store/s that caters/cater to big-sized girls. I'm a size 18 :*) and it is difficulf to look for affordable plus-sized clothes here and the one's I know that carry those sizes are tubby and marks and spencer, but they are too expensive for a starting careerwoman. I've no problem looking for jeans or skirts, but the tops are nowhere to be found. :(

Thanks for reading this and I appreciate your suggestions

hi. have you tried so-en? how about the gozum stores?
also, twin sets are a good option.
try looking inside department stores too...like galleria, megamall dept. stores.
good luck :)

Another option: have your clothes made by someone. :) Buy the tela from Divisoria. I won't be able to recommend though, lahat ng kilala ko from Binan and Sta. Rosa Laguna eh. Maybe the others have suggestions. :)

There's this store at SM Manila. I think it's called Tubby. They carry plus-size clothing that's made in the U.S. Pretty reasonable prices. They don't carry a lot of styles though. But they have classic styles. Check it out. :)
Oops, sorry, I didn't read you post clearly. Yup, CaRaMBa is right. Just buy fabrics at Divisoria or any fabric store that carries a wide selection. Then, design a top that you think would accentuate your features. If you're top heavy, opt for a v-neck cut or a wide scoop neck. Avoid knit fabrics as they tend to make everything of you look big. Go for cotton or other light materials. Don't stick with black. Play with earth colors or even bright colors. It's really how you feel when you wear your clothes that matters. Have a great day!
