Have you been to Nantucket, Massachusetts? Am planning to go there for a few days of vacation in September. Can you recommend a place to stay, comfortable and not so expensive?

I LOVE NANTUCKET!!!
i used to go there on long weekends as a college undergrad with my WASP friends :teehee: we used to stay at my friend's cottage. There are so many little bed and breakfast places in southeastern Mass...the nantucket, martha's vineyard and cape cod area. u can try going to this site Martha's Vineyard Online (http://www.mvol.com/) or this one The Insider's Guide to Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard and Cape Cod (http://www.insiders.com/capecod/index.htm)

Thanks for the links! I have actually managed to gather a list of B&Bs from the web, but everything looks so nice in pictures so I wanted some first hand account from someone who has stayed in one of them. What area in Nantucket is a good place to stay for someone sightseeing --- near restaurants, beaches, etc.?

My friends and I used to stay in Cisco, it's at the Southern Shore but most restaurants and resorts are located in Sconset. Great places to hang out are The Muse and rose and crown but personally, i hate going to clubs outside big cities since the main reason why you're going to Nantucket is to commune with nature! If i were you, i'd get myself a boat and just float around the sound or go to Cape Cod or Martha's Vineyard. It's really great with a matching bottle of wine, friends and music in the background with the Atlantic Sea as a back drop.
