I think it's the left wing in Cambodian politics, like our very own NPA, and from the little that I know of their experiments geared towards racial purification, it appears to be Cambodia's answer to Germanys' Nazis. But then, I think you already came across that. ;)

I think there was man named Pol Pot who headed this movement. He was in hiding for many years in the jungle until he was found againg in a scrawny-built hut.

I had to rent The Killing Fields last night. I was that curious. As much as I love history, I admit that I don't know much about Asian affairs. I remember seeing Kampuchea in NewsWeek and Time when I was little.

I have to do a film essay and since I didn't know much about the Khmer Rouge, i picked this topic.. :)

I think Pol Pot died in 1997, and the Cambodian officials were trying to verify if it was indeed his body buried in a forest.

hehe.. WickedQueen, I wasn't being lazy.... I've got to narrow down tons of information in about 1 page and I've got to do a comparison with the film Dr. Strangelove. I thought that by getting some thoughts from other people (like a survey), I'll be able to organize my thesis and ideas easily.. :)
