Ay salamat. At long last, I finally found the cause of the connection problem on my home PC. Share ko na rin, baka ganito rin problema nyo:

The problem was that there were times when the modem would simply stop communicating. This phenomenon ocurred in bursts.

As in: <high activity><no activity><high activity>, etc.

What you could try doing is adjust the FIFO buffers of your modem. It's in [Control Panel]-[Modems]-[Properties]-[Connection]-[Port Settings].

Set the sliders to the smallest values. You'll most probably get a performance improvement. Starting there, look for the highest value that won't have any problems.

Wala lang. It's just that naalaala ko na kinwento ni Zen sa EK na ganito ang problema ng PC nya. Baka ganito rin problem nyo. :)

Addendum lang: I don't know if this works, but if you experience a lull in your connection, you could force network activity by either initiating a download (of a file or webpage), or pinging the proxy or DNS. :)

actually, i've been a san miguel fan simula bata pa ako. di ako nag-switch ng team, ngayon lang. i've been a long time and big fan ni "skywalker" samboy lim!!! especially the 1989 grandslam team. memorize ko pa yata lahat ng players sa team na yon...

super pikon ako ng matalo ang smb sa alaska noong 1995 3rd conference. si travis ang import and si caidic pa ang best player of the conference...

they really should have won at least one title in 1998 where they lost twice in a finals series. not in 99, 2000 and now where uichico just inherited the team built by jacobs, thus getting his 5 out of 5 titles. it was really sweet that they finally won a title in 1999 after last winning the AFC in 1994.

but this is definitely not my team, especially with a "whiner" danny seigle who cries a lot after a supposed foul. and his "kayabangan" na pati ang very humble na si ildefonso ay nahahawa. very unlike the team led by first ever "sportsmanship awardee" samboy lim who reacts as if nothing happened after a foul and the numerous injuries that he got.

and my most favortie player in the team, boybits victoria, doesn't even get any playing time and lost a lot of confidence while playing in the finals. sheesh!
