GMA's "WE ARE ANIME" hype is over! HAHA!

*********** GMA kasi yan eh. They ended the Cell Saga without telling us. I think that initiated the downfall of the anime hype. Panahon palang ng DBZ sa RPN 9, ******** na tayo. Replay mayat maya na lang. Nang lumipat yung DBZ sa GMA, they still showed reruns over and over again. Napikon na tuloy ang mga fans. Some of them are even forced to buy bootleg VCD copies just to know what will happen next.


GMA sucks
as well as ABS-CBN. ABS doen't have a good anime marketing strategy.

-weareanime.com has won the webbie awards
-as a member of the weareanime group .. most of the finalist from the recently concluded Anime Quest cosplay were weareanime cosplayers
-it is the continous support of the weareanime chatters club that became a huge part of weareanime's success in bringing the one of the finest (if not the best) on line anime discussion
-weareanime.com has come up with successful filmshowings
-it is also involved in the promotion of Anime awareness not only in the Philippines but world wide thru its active chatroom
-became a participant in the last few anime conventions and it has also covered the AXN Anime cosplay held in Hongkong

what happend to weareanime ?
-it was the stereotype belief that they would say weareanime is under GMA7 .. correction:
-it is no longer connected with GMA7

those articles about gma7's anime titles are only recognition for the possibility of making the site but the site is dedicated to all anime fans in the Philippines and the whole anime world.

yes, the sit seemed so independent now. But the anime features are still all from gma. Aside from that, I haven't seen anything connected to gma.

I heard that WAA won at the webby awards. Even beating our very own PEx at the community category.

One thing that I observed, the forums are kinda lame and few compared to before.

Hindi kasi basta basta pwede mag feature ng anime kapag walang permit lalo na kapag copyright owned.But the site is trying to make connections with AXN..
As a member of the weareanime cosplayers group we are striving to to remove the site from the shadow of GMA7 as a mere anime marketing strategy.

Because the site is so active that every anime convention or event is always covered and updated..It has helped the anime community here in the Philippines grow up and it served as a bridge to help every anime fanatics to openly discuss their view and opnion about anime ,and the community even grew during the revently held Anime Quest 2001 beacuse it has also promoted the tradition of making cosplayers group.

One thing that I observed, the forums are kinda lame and few compared to before.
True .. the concentration of anime discussion is on the chatroom ...though its not easy to access the chatroom now adays because of some problems with talkcity .. the best way to connect is to log in at htt://www.talkcity.com/chat/
A compensation for that is the latest news about anime events and conventions ..and their up to date coverages

Ang concentration ng ABS-CBN ngayon ay nasa Hero muna at umaasa nalang sila muna sa Naruto.While GMA 7,may mga bago namang silang animes(Hamtaro,Wizard Of Oz,Machine Robo Rescue,etc..) pero ang problema ay masyado lang mataas ang expectations ng mga viewers nila..Gusto nila panay shonen stuff ekek kaya binalik yung redub na DBZ para lang dun..While ABS-CBN,hay naku ilang beses nang pinapulit ulit yang Mr Bean at Power Rangers nayan?Nakakainis na.. :grrr:

hmm oo nga kung at least 3 different anime tuwing weekdays, salitan na lang sa timeslot para di nauubusan at puro replay like naruto, mas mahaba pa ata yung pagreplay ng abs ng isang 'season'.. problema lang, kelangan maganda dapat yung line-up kundi di consistent ang pagtutok ng manonood kapag mga walang kwentang anime yung ipapalabas.
