who's the best radio station in the metro?

tell us why? is it RX 93.1? 89.9? 107.5? 98.7 (the station that plays classical music)? & tell them why they stand out from the rest! i'll go for those mentioned! but of 93.1 & 89.9 i'll go for 89.9 less talkings, good music & friendly dj's!

On Sundays & Mondays, it's 93.1. On Fridays, it's, 89.9. The rest would be all 96.3. Madalas 70's or 80's songs.

For me it's the following:
88.3 especially when they tweaked their programming
107.5 first and last and always, lalo na kung Club Retro's on!
99.5 Wala lang.

I like 93.1 and 99.5 a whole lot. They both keep me updated with the freshest tracks that go around. But my overall favorite would probably be 105.1 for its mellow jazz, and soothing rythyms.

I love 96.3 WRock, 94.7 Mellow Touch, Monster's Riot at RX93.1, and Friday Madness at 89.9 Magic FM.

I hate 97.1,102.7, and 90.7

For jazz stations, CrossOver 105.1 is the best!

97.9 is okay, except that they've got really baduy promos, but their 80s music's pretty good.

I'm a big fan of jazz... so I'll go for 105.1 Crossover and Citylite 88.3! To keep me updated with the latest music/songs, I listen to 93.1 and 93.9! 89.9 is also good especially during their Friday Madness <;11am-12nn>;.

RX 93.1 [GOOD MUSIC, SO MANY TALKING] especially on MOrning Rush with Boom, Fran and Trish (i hate the slot of Chinggay and Tom Alvarez...its so maingay)
Magic 89.9 [GOOD MUSIC, LESS TALKING] the timeslot of Mo Twister and Miles...i like the voice of Mo so much

For me it would be Rx 931 on Sundays and Mondays, RT on Fridays, NU 107, 105.1 and 89.9 Magic. The only thing I hate about 89.9 especially on Fridays is when a certain song is still playing the DJ will either cut in with something to say or plug in directly to a commercial. It's really annoying. Stations should not do that.

I listen to only 5 different radio stations:

1. RX 93.1 - OF course, nothing but the best. Overall, they have really nice programs but the DJ's do talk a lot. But I don't like their Monster's Riot programming that much so I don't listen on Sundays and Mondays.
2. Magic 89.9 - They basically have the same songs as RX and KC.
3. 93.9 KC - Okay na sila ngayon especially after they changed their format. The DJ's talk less, too. But their late night-early morning format sucks (I hate the DJ, sucky songs too).
4. 99.5 RT - Kasi napakabago ng kanilang mga kanta. Hindi pa ni-re-release ng artist, meron na sa kanilang playlist. But the downside is, dahil too early, madali na rin silang (songs) mawala sa playlist nila.
5. 103.5 KLite - Because of Jessica Zafra's Twisted on a Sunday.

NU 107.5 if you have a bad day, or if you want to have depth to a good day (huh?). I'm currently in an I-despise-anything-related-to-pop phase, thank God for NU.
99.5 RT is also cool, did somebody say parang trying hard sila? I think so, sometimes the DJ seems that way, but in general they're definitely more updated and simply better than certain pop stations I'd rather not mention.

In 1996 (I think) there was this show on NU called the Morning Show with Ron, Mad Dog Manny, Jake, Roxy & Joey...I miss that show! Grabe, I used to listen to it every single morning on my way to school & it never failed to make me laugh. Do you guys know this show? Super funny talaga! :)
I haven't been listening to LA 105.9 lately, pero there was a time when that was all I listened to! That was mga 1995 nung super uso pa yung emergence ng underground bands. My favorite songs then were Nakagapos, Kapre, Sigarilyo ni Pepe..do you guys remember this era?! "Kumajot pito-pito, kumirot pa ng walo, sa poste siya ginapos at saka pa binayo!" Then meron pa silang show every Saturday night, Worst 12 at 12! Funny din yon :)
My favorite station now is RX 93.1. I can listen to it all day, all night, and all week long. 89.9 is a good backup specially when the RX jocks start talking too much.

This is a tough question to answer but after much deliberation (lasting 10 seconds) I will have to bestow the honor to RX 93.1

Although they have their negative points like shallow blabber in the morning, deejays laughing so inconsiderately loud to the mic, female deejays talking about nothing else but love and relationships (a little too much) and too much bubble gum....overall they have the most diverse playlist (a key factor in a POP station) and a wide variety of programs from talkshows to countdowns to live on-air performances. RX shows---rarely tells---what it takes to be a QUALITY radio station and above all have artistic integrity. Something the station a few spots to their left seems to have overlooked. ;)

(ang bahay ng bagong bato). even when i was still in high school, that was my fave station... luvd the morning show with jake and the rest of the guys. i may be biased cuz i work there, but i'd still listen to NU even if i dont work there, cuz of the playlist, and the jocks don't talk much and don't sound "feeling."

and RT too (when Rick Dees was still there & when it played some rock music too). but RT now sounds "different," prolly had to do with the onslaught of the pop groups.

oh, and that classical music station.... real soothing...

i go for 99.5rt & nu107.

they've got good selections ranging from the latest singles and the real classics... to the hard to find singles of cool artists. wala masyadong "pop" music (pero meron din). hindi nakikiuso... sila ang nagpapauso.

sometimes, when you go to the record bars and look for some of the songs you've heard on these stations... wala; di mo mahanap. di pa pala narerelease yung album locally. minsan naman talagang hindi released sa local market yung album ng ibang artists.

geez, i guess it's between KLite and Magic. i like KLite because they have this interaction thingee that all they really just do is talk. That way, you don't have to keep on anticipating when the songs will be played. unlike some radio stations that plays and talks at the same time. like duh, stop blabbing and start playing! and puleaze, the callers!

With KLite and Magic, they have good taste in music, minimal blabbing, less callers who greet on air, less rubbish too. just good old music and with chika-chika on the side.

honorable mention: 88.3 Citilite. try it sometimes =)
