Finally watched the Oh My Goddess Movie!!! WOOHOO!!!

Hey, I'm just wondering if anyone's seen it coz i just got my copy on VCD and watched it (4 times already) around 2 weeks ago.

All I can say is, WOW!!!! (well, i'm a big fan of Oh My Goddess having all issues of the Dark Horse manga, so I might be a bit biased)

I dont think I should put spoilers here though, but feel free to discuss the excellent anime movie here if you watched it or wish to know more about it and I can respond accordingly.

PS. I just wish they stuck with the original 3hour-length plan...

PPS. I think i'll be getting another copy of the movie by next month with much better quality.

Yep, I'm from Manila. But I dont think there are copies of the Oh My Goddess movie sold around here. I've only seen the 5-part OAV's in stores.

I got them from some friends on the net actually, and it was originally in DivX mpeg-4 format. (i had to convert it to VCD so my friends could view it in their VCD players)

Oh yeah, Peorth finally appears in the movie along with Belldandy's teacher. All their angels make an appearance as well... you know, Blessed Belle, Worldly Elegance and Noble Scarlet. It's just too cool I gotta watch it again!!! (sorry, couldn't resist)

As for the manga, there are currently 22 volumes and still going, I believe. (Dark Horse really takes their time translating the chapters... at the rate it's going, it would take more than 10 years to finish the manga series... just one issue per month???)

I have a lot of manga and anime in my collection, currently with 150+ cd's of anime (a majority are english subtitled).

You have the second AMG Movie? Wow! I know about the DivX movie thing, with at least three sites mirroring the 400 Mb file. You got it from friends on the net? You must have a really fast connection to download such a huge file.

Anyway, I'm a huge fan of AMG, though I don't have access to the manga. I haven't watched the movie but I've read a synopsis so I know the plot pretty well.

Any hope of us getting a copy from you? If I could borrow your CD (or get a copy) I can burn you a CD of my collection of AMG images, which I have scoured over the net for several years now. I have around 1800 images organized in 40 folders, which might be the most complete collection
available in the Philppines.

As for my connection... I'm using the university E1 to download every night... I finished the AMG movie in less than 2 hours. So I typically download 1-3 GB everyday. Heheh, it sure helps to have a Unix shell account.

Moi? Indian? Far from it, heheh :D. I didnt think Saavedra sounds Indian, more like Spanish tho I ain't Spanish either.

My Fave manga? Hmmm, I's, Oh My Goddess and Maison Ikkoku rank at the top of my list. They may share similar themes when you view them from a certain angle, being somewhat like soaps geared for men. I's is among the most realistic and best works I have read as it really moves the reader... when I first got it, I set it aside for a while until I started reading, then I just couldn't stop until the wee hours of dawn. (it's that good) And I'm sure you've heard of Oh My Goddess and Maison Ikkoku. :)

Video Girl AI is composed of 45 chapters? I didn't know that. I liked the movie but is the series as good as the movie? the movie was funny but it was dramatic at the end. all in all, a great anime movie.

have you tried watching Gundam: One Year War? you may want to add it to your list.
