Hey guys....
Is nail arts "in" dito sa Manila? When I travel to Hong Kong or China I always have my nails done there.
San meron dito na mura lang? When I say "Nail Art" hindi po yun sticker na nail art ha... The flowers or design has to be crafted into your fingers using a special powder.
Sorry wala ako yun all fingers eh..

I have asked around and people only knows the "sticker" nail art.. I'm not looking for the "sticker" nail art but the real NAIL ART...
Also, the Nail Art in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Japan they don't use nail polish anymore. It's something called "gel". That's what they use instead of nail polish, so that your nail art will stay on your fingers maximum 1 month. *okay*

A real Nail Art Design from HK is now in Manila
Mi & Me Nail Art Salon
Malate Manila
Girls out there. If you have travelled to Hong Kong and have seen so many Nail Art salon in Mongkok and everywhere and don't have the time to try it out... Good News!!! There is a real Nail Art Salon in Manila. *okay*
To give you a background, the owner her name is Mimi Qiu and she is Cantonese girl who grew up here but spends a lot of her childhood in Hong Kong. Her course is Fashion Designing and she loves to design outfits. Also, her family is the owner of BedRock in Malate.
According to Mimi, ever since the hype of Nail Art in HK, she has been practicing it for years and a few years back she took a one year course in Nail Art in HK. August last year, she opened the first ever real Nail Art Studio in Manila.
When I say the real Nail Art, it means that the technology used in Nail Art design are the ones you see in Japan, HK and Taiwan. I know some salon in Manila claimed that they are the first Nail Art design but the products and technology used are the cheap ones and not the real one.
A real Nail Art do not use nail polish. The latest technology is called "Gel". This is the stuff applied to your nails and it cannot be taken down without going back to the Nail Art studio. Meaning it's not easily chip. "Gel" is like nail polish with hundreds of colors but it has a special ingredient that stick to your nails w/o worrying that it may chip. You can still do housechores and wash clothes with the nailart you have on. *okay*
Mimi has trained a few of her staff on Nail Art, but her staff are not as quick and expert like her. So if you want to have your nails done, make sure you have to set an appointment with her.
I went to Toni & Jacki to have my hair done in Malate and that's how I discovered the Nail Art Salon. The name of the Nail Art Salon is MI & ME and it is besides Toni & Jacki.
Here is their website...

Address and contact:

You definitely feel like in Hong Kong, coz Mimi speaks fluently in Cantonese and that's the language she used when talking to her mom. :)

What do you mean by di malinis tignan?
You mean their shop or the way they do your nails?
I went to their store around 9PM few days ago. I don't find their store dirty. It's very clean and very girly. *okay*
My nails are done perfectly by Mimi herself. Also, lots of actress do go to her store to have their nails done.
If you noticed the pictures I posted on the first post here, those were my Nail Art done in China and Hong Kong. Naiinis lang ako when I come back to Manila I can't find a place where I can have my Nail art removed. I'm also very picky when it comes to my nails. So when I discovered Mi & Me and tried their nail art, I actually like it. Mimi design my nails the way I want it and it was perfect! *okay*
So, pls be specific what you mean di malinis tignan... :hmm:

I want to try nail art too uso ito para sa East Asian girls cute tignan tsaka mabusisi ang paggawa nito well trained usually ang mga nail artist. Medyo pricy compared to regular manicure/pedicure but its cute naman.
Magpapalagay dapat ako sa HK nito kaso usually around 1000HK$ ang rate ng nail dun

I think depende sa ginagamit na product ng store. I tried thrice n din sa Kuco Art, it lasts from two to three weeks.
Depende din siguro sa budget.. if you have a lot of money ok dyan sa Mi and Me Salon else tulad ko na ordinaryong pa-girl lang ok na ko sa store like ng Kuco Art.
