well the ateneans are firm that they have "factual basis" that arvie ain't graduating from hs this year.

which begs the following question... rather than asking "where" he will play it should then be "when" will he play?

assuming he really won't graduate, this means that either he finishes his hs via the orthodox route (e.g., attend classes for sy 2009-2010 and graduate march 2010) or sit out two years to become eligible to take the pep test exam.

correct me if i'm wrong, pero ang pagkaintindi ko sa peptest is that ched instituted it for noble reasons. specifically for hs students who had to stop midstream either due to financial difficulty, young marriage, juveniles, etc. and hindi ata siya automatic wherein if you fail to finish hs that you can take the test during that same year, two years i believe is the requirement.

also, assuming arvie takes the peptest route then he has to effectively sit out seasons 72-74 in the uaap (if he goes to lasalle) or seasons 85-87 (if he stays with baste).

These are mere speculations... believe me, these ateneans have no factual proof. Just because they know they are not in the running to get arvie, they are starting a demolition job on the kid. They tried everything to get arvie. Even offering the heavens to the kid and his family, pero ayaw lang talaga ng bata maglaro sa kanila. So why dont we just wait until graduation. Kung hindi gagraduate si arvie, then so be it. Kung gagraduate, then good. Until then, all these are mere speculations.

From what i know, graduation is just a few days away. Let's wait and see and lets hope he gets to play with the school where he wants to play for. Peace!!!

Paredes, Marata and Tolentino did not enroll in Reedley just to allow them to get a diploma. Paredes studied in Cagayan de Oro until he was in third year high school but he had to transfer to a school in Manila because of his commitments in the RP Youth Team. Marata and Tolentino both studied in UPIS until their third year in high school. It is widely believed that they transferred to Reedley to escape the rule in the UAAP that says you can't transfer to another UAAP - member school for college without the release/consent of your high-school. Marata and Tolentino wanted to play for La Salle in college and to escape complications, they took there fourth year in high school in Reedly. Paredes, Marata and Tolentino are smart kids. Japeth is another case all together.......

^ just pure speculation on my part, but i feel papot will be red shirting season 72 para naman hindi sayang yung playing years niya. and magsasama pa sila ni torres sa season 74. just think about it, DLSU has ferdinand, batricevic, co, villanueva and even andrada.. now jovet mendoza couldnt be found in that list.. so my guess is papot will just sit this one out.. hindi naman urgent need kasi marami pang big men ahead of him.. DLSU is just stock piling on players which could have a spot on Team B.. then handpicked nalang sila based on their performance on who gets elevated to Team A in due time.. if papot does spend time on Team B, im pretty sure he will get his shot at a UAAP roster along with Norbert Torres pretty soon..

My point is, galing sa NCAA school ang maglalaro sa UAAP, kaya wag sabihin ng iba dyan na kaya lilipat e dahil mas magandang school ang lilipatan. Alam naman natin na ang main reason, most of the time, nila sa paglipat ay ang maglaro sa mas malakas na basketball program para mas lumaki ang chance makapasok sa pro leagues. Second reason na lang ang ganda ng school.

Maayos ang mga posts ko, at kung meron mang mga arguments, sumasagot lang ako. I will never take those posts lying down. At ginagamit pang reasoning na hindi kasi ako "taga dun". So what do you expect, tatahimik na lang ako sa mga pasimpleng bashing...

oops! hindi lahat paglalaruin sa filoil so posibleng nasa DLSU nga si Bringas at Alas. kung hindi sila kasama dun sa 3players na ihahabol sa line-up para sa filoil baka sa UAAP na sila maglaro. gaya ng sabi sa APcom marami pang surprise.
