I just joined this forum today after accidentaly stumbling into this forum and lurking yesterday. I hope that's a good omen because I just received a text a few minutes ago regarding my alma mater's fate. If you are by any chance in Cebu and a UPCC-HS alumna/alumnus please join us if you've got the time. I'll quote the text in toto:
LAST CHANCE FOR U.P. HIGH! On March 26, 2009 the U.P. Board of Regents will deliberate on U.P. Cebu High School's future. Two days before that, on March 24, 2009 U.P. President Roman will visit Cebu for the signing of SRP lot MOA with the city. Let us show her that we will not allow the closure of our beloved alma mater without a fight. Show your support for U.P. High by giving one(1) hour of your time to join the protest rally on March 24, 2009 (Tuesday), 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the college waiting shed.
This is your last chance to give back as there could be no U.P. High by June.
