WOW! Hanep! Masyado ba mataas level niyo sa tingin mo? Ok lang opinyon mo yan ah. Anyway kung ayaw mo karibal Baste FYI ako ayoko rin! Tama ka hindi tayo magkalevel! Kasi kami simple lang ewan ko lang sa inyo. And one reason kung bakit ayoko magkaron ng rivalry ang Baste at SBC ay dahil dito. For this exact same reason ayoko makabasa ng mga ganitong reaksyon galing sa mga mahahanging katulad mo who's feeling high and mighty! Kasi kami hindi niyo talaga kami kalevel dahil to be honest most of us are "humble" not like you. Kasi yun ang turo samin sa Baste. Always be humble. That's an Augustinian way of life.

Why not if that will happen I guess NCAA is way much than UAAP because for offering different level of excitement. I must say the San Sebastian is the team to be reckoned with next season. Let's just enjoy what next season can offer for the students and spectators also.

Yup. napansin ko din yun. lagi pinagmamalaki ng ibang mga bedans ang kanilang tuition, kaya nababansagang "social climber" ng ibang school. I mean, hindi naman tuition ang pinagbabasehan, tignan mo na lang ang UP Diliman. And isa pa, ang pagkakalam ko, 100++ pesos lang ang lamang ng san beda per unit sa Baste. Hello??? E yung nasa College of International Hospitality Management (CIHM) ng Baste umaabot sa 40k-50k per sem wala pa pong mga tours yun. Lamang lang ang San beda sa College of Arts & Science & other Business courses. Kasi ang tuition ng Baste around 33k hanggang 36k lang yata. Sa beda nasa 40k++.. E magkalapit na rin naman. And ang malaki lang sa San Beda is yung freshman nila, as soon na tumataas ang level mo sa college, bumababa din naman yung tuition tulad din sa ibang school. I know this because my sister is now a graduating of San beda (Mktg)... Minsan mali kasi ang perception ng ibang bedans, when it comes to standards of school. Big deal sa ibang bedans (not all) ang tuition fee.

Rivalry cannot be forged by agreement alone. It is a product of a long history of skirmishes between two schools wherein both sides are eager to surpass one another. Such passion is felt not by the players alone but the coaches, alumni and die hard fans of both schools. They take pride and extreme satisfaction in beating one another to the point that they would rather lose to other schools except their bitter rival.

The term is best exemplified by the Duke-UNC and Lehigh University-Lafayette College rivalries.

So you see, San Sebastian cannot just ask San Beda to be its rival. It won't work that way.

Besides, I'm 100% sure Bedans won't agree (no pun intended).

Scrap the idea.

First of all, nagreply ako sa post mo dahil gusto ko lang ipaliwanag kung bakit nagkaron ng usapan tungkol sa kayabangan. And that is because of the post of "pulangpula" which I think is so arrogant.

Secondly, I never intended na tirahin ang San Beda! I just reacted the way I reacted because of what I read. And kung mapapansin niyo hindi ko pininpoint ang San Beda sa lahat ng sinabi ko sa reply ko kay pulangpula. Merong mga sentences dun na siya lang ang sinabihin ko. And kung nadamay ko man ang San Beda with all honesty hindi ko sinadyang idamay ang school niyo. Nayabangan lang talaga ko sa post ni pulangpula. Secondly, I never intended na tirahin ang San Beda! I just reacted the way I reacted because of what I read. And kung mapapansin niyo hindi ko pininpoint ang San Beda sa lahat ng sinabi ko sa reply ko kay pulangpula. Merong mga sentences dun na siya lang ang sinabihin ko. And kung nadamay ko man ang San Beda with all honesty hindi ko sinadyang idamay ang school niyo. Nayabangan lang talaga ko sa post ni pulangpula. tingin ko hindi naman rivalry ang matatawag mo sa sbc-ssc nung panahon ni adducul. malakas talaga line-up ng baste nun nagkataon lang nakaharap nila ang san beda sa finals ng dalawang beses.

parang chicago bulls tsaka utah jazz nung 97-98 finals. dalawang beses na magkasunod nag kita pero may narining ba kayong sinabing rivals yung dalawang team?

According to my mom and 2 titas (all CEU graduates of the 1970s), there are fights that ensue whenever Sebastinians pass by the area of Mendiola and when Bedans pass by the campus of Baste. I don't think that's highly probable these days. Also, I think nobody wants to have a rivalry with Bedans. Who wants to get squirted with saliva (matalsikan ng laway)? Pax et Bonum! :D

Nung nagkaroon kami nung 2006 ng symposium kasi mga officers and members ng Business Management sa buong university belt, dun ginanap sa San Beda, halos lahat ng Sebastinian naka jaket ng San Sebastian, and nung nagaantay ng symposium, Sebastinians are all making tambay pa nga in their cafe dun sa may law building (sa baba). Dun sa cafe, nakatingin lahat ng bedans samin kasi nga naka jaket halos lahat ng sebastinian nun, tapos may group of guys, sabi samin "ano pong meron?, bakit po ang daming sebasitinian dito sa san beda? And ayun sumagot kami, sabi namin may symposium lahat ng mga managament orgs.. And yung professor na nag hold ng symposium is half sebastinian-half bedan.. :)
