Congratulations to the CSB Blazers and LSGH Baby Blazers for bagging the general championship trophies! LSGH won over SSC by 50 points and CSB won over SBC by 11 points! :bounce:

College of Saint Benilde and La Salle Greenhills won the NCAA general championship after simple rites on February 27 at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.

1st place finishes in the seniors division:
CSB - chess, taekwondo, and in men’s and women’s table tennis
SBC - basketball, swimming, and football
CSJL - men’s indoor and beach volleyball and lawn tennis
SSC - women’s indoor and beach volleyball

oo naman...for me, mas magandang manalo ka ng general championship than sa basketball...

sa volleyball lang kinapos ang st. benilde...san sebastian is a power...magiging contender ang lady blazers sa volleyball because of v-league and yung pagpasok ng bagong recruits...

san beda placing second...they have some surprise finishes like sa men's volleyball (second to letran) and women's table tennis (to think bago lang sila)...once na magkaroon ng magandang suporta sila, they will be contenders too...

congratulations again to st. benilde ang lsgh! =) at ang maganda sa ncaa, after ng athletics, doon ina-announce ang overall champion...yun nga lang nagse-celebrate lang yung mga nasa athletics, hehehe! :)

Baka naman ang sinasabi na first time in league history is that both schools (CSB and LSGH) won both general championship crowns, not the first time over the rest of the schools sa league? It's similar to the first time that CSB and DLSU won both UAAP and NCAA basketball crowns back in 2000. :D

I believe everyone knows about Letran's excellence in both seniors and juniors in the past. I will not contest that or any other school who won both in their golden years. Paki-usap ko lang eh pabayaan niyo kami mag-enjoy ngayon dahil bihira lang naman yan, unless naging consistent ang program namin tulad nung sa inyo dati. There's no ill intent in what the author said since the topic never strayed as far as the "very first time". :)

I think that the author of the paragraph intended to stress the point of "same schools" (One Lasalle) that represent as one team lang sa liga. I don't think the intention was to disregard the other schools who conquered both juniors and seniors crown in the past. It is already written in the history books of the NCAA so it doesn't change anything, may nauna na talagang schools na nakapag-champion and the "first time" is just for CSB and LSGH bagging both this season. :D

Of course we appreciate the general championship trophy. That is one thing that is consistent with CSB. The wholistic approach is good for all sports and not just basketball. But we are hoping for more improvements in that sport and another trophy next season for the rest of the athletes. Nakatulong din ang 3rd place ng Pep sa cheering competition. ;)

Dapat biglang manghina ang UST sa UAAP o kaya hindi sila sumali ng isang season, like biglang out of the blue eh masuspend. Wide-open ang race pag ganon. Pag andyan sila second place na lang ang laban. Para ka nang nag-champion pag nasulot mo ang 2nd place :D
