hello,

I am a BS Nursing graduate and was accepted for a nursing position abroad...but if ever i'll pursue a graduate studies, what should I take:

MS in Molecular Medicine (St. Luke's College of Medicine)
-but when it comes to biochemistry, biology,.. i would say that I'm just an average-type of student. But this seems interesting because of stem cell therapy, gene therapy etc.

MS in Public Health Major in Epidemiology (UERM)
-community health is my favorite subject way back in college, but I'm not really good on research.

Any comments? or other recommendation on what master's to take?

I'm would like to take a non-nursing but health-related Master's degree.

(health-related Master's degree in UP Manila may not be an option for me, because I know they are strict..but would be great if I can)

Thank you!

Where did u graduate? Sorry to ask you this first but I have to know how intensive your educational background to properly recommend MSD to take since you need to finish the degree...
Though, the two degree uve mentioned are good, I'll say if u don't know to predict the structural conformation of a protein by simply knowing their one letter abbrv then just choose the public health...

I attended FEU for my BSN.

What's MSD by the way?

As of this writing, I'm quite sure not to take MS Molecular Med coz it's just not that relevant to nursing. I'm now leaning towards Public Health or Occupational Health, since I can advance my nursing career with these courses.

Thank you!

you should take it abroad since you're there already :)

yeah I know, but with the cost of education here, i don't think it's feasible for me. anyways, the reason i started this topic is to help me decide what master's to take IF EVER i'll enroll to one. so maybe i can start saving for a graduate study here. *okay*

Thanks!
