Dahil na din sa marami ang humihiling na gumawa ng ganitong sinulid, narito na. :)

Thanks for posting these nice pics! Our country actualy has a lot of nice campuses in the "provinces" (please be careful in the use of this term, as these may be in major cities in the country that should not be labeled "provinces" just because they're outside Metro Manila).

I love the location of Silliman University, the architecture of Mindanao State University, the wide, open spaces of UP Visayas, and the vastness and scenic beauty of Mt. Makiling's UP Los Banos (the last one being the most beautiful campus in the UP System). *okay*

Thanks for the edit! (I'm sure we don't want to perpetuate the bias that "Metro Manila is the center of the universe" and that everyone else is a "just a province.") *okay*

Silliman University
NATIONAL HISTORICAL LANDMARK

A Walk Down Memory Lane

Silliman University was declared as a National Historical Landmark by the National Historical Institute in 2001 during its Centennial celebration. So far, it is the only university whose campus has been declared as a historical landmark and not only for a single building.

http://img154.imageshack.us/img154/2010/suhallpl9.jpg
Silliman Hall
Built in 1903

Silliman Hall is the first and oldest building on campus. It was built in 1903 and is treasured as a historical landmark in Dumaguete City. It is a bridge to remember the beginnings of the University. It stood the test of time with its four-storey structure whose walls were made of local coral blocks and solid iron posts. The metal sheets used as ceiling were taken from a theater in New York City. Imported timber from the United States West Coast made the rest of the upper floors. It was inaugurated on November 30, 1903. It was a muti-purpose building at its time when it houses classrooms, intern dormitory, dining rooms, study room, chapel, church and teacher's living quarters. It is now a museum.

Katipunan Hall
Built in 1915

Katipunan Hall is used to be a Mission Hospital and was built in 1915 by Dr. Langheim, an American missionary doctor, and his wife. The Langheims were the pioneers of Missionary Medical Work of the province. During the second World War, the Mission Hospital was used by the Japanese soldiers as garrison and prison cells. Currently, it houses the Languages department. Many haunting tales fascinate this building – ghost sightings, eerie sounds and happenings. It is even sometimes used as the Horror Booth venue during the university Founder’s Day celebration.

Hibbard Hall
Built in 1932

Construction of the Hibbard Hall began in 1932. This building was constructed in honor of Silliman’s founder and first president, Dr. David Sutherland Hibbard and his wife, Mrs. Laura Crooks Hibbard. It then serves as a library and currently it houses the student activity center. It is a favorite hangout for students where they can play pingpong, darts, board games (chess, game of generals, monopoly, etc), read magazines, watch movies, or simply relax at the balcony.

Silliman Church
Built in 1941

War came at the time when building operations for the construction of the new Church in 1941. Aside from this problem, the university had no cash to meet the payroll. There was the problem of materials and equipment, too. Despite this, they did finish it. The cross on the main structure was placed in position during a threatened air raid, and a final picture of the complete work was taken on April 2, 1942, the time when the enemy landings were being made on neighboring islands.

USC-Talamban Campus is a beauty! The scale and architecture of the buildings blend into its hilly terrain overlooking Cebu City and Mactan Island.

I love the USC Talamban campus and Siliman University. I dare say these are The best looking campus in the Philippines.
Good thing both are not in metro manila.

Siliman University is a campus adjacent to a panoramic beach while USC Talamban is situated on a hilltop; now I know why Siliman and USC are performing better compared to a number of manila based schools. Sana makapasyal man lang ako sa sa dalawang napakagandan campus nayan.

What makes USC-TC stands out among other college campuses is its unified layout, architecture and landscaping that create a beautiful environment that is conducive to learning. Its ambience is sublime, never garish or distracting. Its 100-hectare rolling hills offer panoramic views of the city and the sea. Its proximity and short driving distance from Ayala Business Park's restaurant/entertainment and the tony hillside neighborhoods of the city is convenient for much-needed unwinding during the weekend. Student amenities like its in-campus residence halls and USC shuttles that transport students around campus all day are but added bonuses to what is certainly one of the best college campuses in the Philippines.

So far, the best looking campus posted here is that of USC-Talamban. Astig!

USC-TC is architecture in art form. Its aesthetic scale is best appreciated in aerial photos. I don’t think this campus is made for walking. I won’t relish walking uphill from one building to another. Oh well, nothing is perfect but if you don’t have a car you can always take the USC shuttle. Is the shuttle ride free? I think I’m falling in love with this campus.

Carolinians, the moniker for USC students, are cool. Hey you guys, you have one heck of a beautiful campus and it looks like it’s no big deal to you. Is this one of those laid-back Cebuano attitude? Just kidding!

Here are awesome aerial photos and building-to-building views of USC-TC.

A bird's eye view of the unified layout, architecture and scale of the buildings at USC-TC.

Hi Lady Chablis, USC TC campus is very nice indeed!

I can't see the unified layout of USC TC. Have you seen the USC TC Master Plan? Please post it here. I heard USC is building an Olympic size stadium in their USC TC campus also.

Thanks Lady! I've found a better version of the USC TC Master plan though:

http://www.usc.edu.ph/vision2020/vision2020.jsp
http://www.metacafe.com/watch/772864/usc_tc_masterplan_animation/

"The Talamban Master Plan of the Palafox and Associates envisions a university town in which 30 percent of the campus is open for commercial ventures to help fund the 70 percent academic component. Palafox’s version of Vision 2020 includes a university mall, a planetarium, a retirement village for faculty and alumni, a central library, a cultural center, sports and leisure facilities, and even a cemetery." -
from USC website

Can anyone post pictures of other universities? (e.g Ateneo de davao, Xavier, MSU, etc?)

The college campus is a bit metropolitan in nature :D But nature also takes its place inside in more ways than one.

Correct KD!

Each time I visit Cebu and I pass by CDU, I always wonder how come the building doesn't have windows.

Take a good look at the grey part of the building, may maaaninag na mga rectangles. I guess those are windows underneath, thats the way I see it every time I pass by that building.

ACtually sir if you google it, may makikita na po kayong Pix of the building. In my opinion, it looks like an airport.. hehe.. Its design is really modern and its exterior is like 90% glass, even the roof..
