is it okay to keep external hard disk (seagate/freeagent) connected to pc?

okay lang ba na iwan ko nakasaksak lagi *** external harddisk sa pc lagi??? or kailangan ko xang tanggalin kung di naman lagi ginagamit???

I suggest you use your external hard disk for extended periods of time only if you have some means of cooling it. I'm not familiar with how the Freeagent is built but for my Nexstar CX enclosure, the aluminum body absorbs the HD's heat, which is then cooled by an external 92mm fan powered by a small DC transformer. The external HD remains perpetually cool, and is probably better cooled than HDs found in the average desktop. ;)

My external hardisk has been connected to my PC via USB for almost 4 years now, buhay pa. It's a Seagate, btw.
