As for Adamson the last time na bumisita ko sa school madami akong nakitang bagong mukha na kasama sa training sa gym di ko nga lang sila kilala sa pangalan.

Mukhang mga deserving naman ang mga bago nilang recruit.

^^i believe that "soc rivera rule" (where it all started) is not fair..for me that is the crapiest rule made by the uaap board...para lang mapagbigyan ang feu kasi sayang ang ininvest nila kay rivera then mapupunta lang sa up...kaya ginawa nila yang lecheng rule na yan... tsk tsk..

Who knows, no offense to April Jose but, FEU might just even do a 6-2 with Yna and Monique as setter-spikers. Haha. But I highly doubt that since April Jose is the reigning Best Setter in the UAAP. As for Eulolio, at least FEU will have blocking or net defense in their team.

The problem with the current FEU team though is the leadership. They will lack that because of the loss of Morada. Morada brings intensity and firepower to the FEU team. She is somewhat the sparkplug of the team. And now, with Daquis and Morada gone, it's time to find a new leader. I don't know who will take over. :)

As far as I know, FEU is the ONLY TEAM who has not missed the Final Four in the UAAP Women's Volleyball and they have the most Final Four appearances with 15.

Well like I said, FEU is the only team that has never missed the Final Four.

If I remember it right, way back in 2004, they were so rebuilding, losing Monica Aleta, Joan Bunag, Cecil Chavas and Mhay Rovira, just four out of their first six. They were fourth place and even lost to Ateneo, UE, UP. I think their record back then was 6-8 but still made it to the Final Four.

Don't get me wrong but this team is way better than that rebuilding team composed of Geneviere Baquir, Mary Ann Manalo, Dianne Torres, Wendy Semana and Rachelle Anne Daquis. They were very young back then and didn't have experience as compared to this year in which most of the starting line-up; April Jose, Mumay Vivas, Shai Gonzalez and Monique Tiangco, or maybe even consider Rose Cabanag, have at least a championship experience which might be a factor this coming season.

anyway, based on my not-so-in-depth research, some of those included in the team are ging balse, su rocess, michiko castaneda, mitch datuin, rubie de leon, mayeth carolino, and csb's velez. di ko na maalala/kilala 'yung iba.

Dati naman silang malakas na, matatangkad pa... Dagdagan pa ng rookies.

Sa DLSU naman, di kasi sila sumali sa V-league kaya mahirap tantyahin. Pero sure, magagaling mga new new recruits nila.

Adamson, sabi sa thread may matatangkad daw na recruits, yun naman ang kulang sa kanila height lalo na sa blocking. Wag lang sana magbago floor defense nila.

FEU naman, umalis na daw si morada? wala na rin si daquis. Shaira na lang naiwan ska si VIvas. Siguro may magagaling din na recruits...

you maybe right na si soc rivera talaga ang target that time but the justification given for such rule is to prevent (daw) piracy of homegrown talent among uaap schools.

red shirting or being with team b does not count on a players eligibility.

a player is allowed to play five years as long as the player is below 25 years old and still within 7 years out of highschool.

to illustrate:

patnongon graduated in 2009. she will be allowed to play in the uaap until 2016. 7 years after her graduation.

if she will sit out this season. she can still play from 2010 to 2014. 5 years provided that she's not yet 25 years old by that time.

ang counted lang is if the player already played college sports before regardless whether in uaap, ncaa or other leagues.

examples are:

1. fampulme - played 4 years at lyceum, allowed only 1 year at ue.
2. ilad - played 4 years at pccr, allowed only 1 year at dlsu.
3. maliksi - played 3 years at um, allowed 2 years at ust.
4. mirza - played 2 years at wcc, allowed only 2 years at ust.
5. scott - played 4 years at lyceum, allowed only 1 year at ust.

the list can still go on like custodio (pup), borboran (jru), etc.

^ i don't know really but as far as i know, the Soc Rivera Rule states that it is the UAAP school of origin which will ultimately decide whether or not they will allow the kid to suit up for another UAAP school. the Soc Rivera Rule rendered the kid's decision moot and academic in a sense that even if the kid wants to play for another UAAP school for college, he or she cannot do so because his or her UAAP school of origin invoked the Soc Rivera Rule, forcing him or her to redshirt for one season.
