Opening ceremonies open on the Seventeen of this month and would last for a week.

This is actually the second year I'm going to miss it. :(
Marami kasi akong work ngayon and I can't just leave, plus I have the Singles EB to go to on the 17th anyway. :D
But I was there for the first three. Sumali pa nga ako sa traffic operations nung 1998.

BTW, are you from Baguio, PUGSLY?
Sa Baguio kasi ako nag-high school at college eh, it's almost like 2nd home to me. :)

Session Road in Bloom (closed to traffic/stores would be out in the road) would occur on the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th

i grew up in baguio too. studied elementary and high school there. :)

yep, i'm going either this saturday (17th) with my boyfriend or friday next week with him and my friends from baguio who now live here in manila.

shazlene: Went to high school at Saint Louis School of Campo Filipino (formerly Holy Family Academy but you probably know that). But we were the pioneer batch ('92) of the merging of our school and Girls' High. Went to college (some) at the University of Baguio. Now you probably know my age! :D

PUGSLY: Which part of Baguio do you live in? I've lived on Ferguson Rd, Gen. Luna Rd and in Navy Base. :)

Kainis talaga, gusto kong pumunta ng PANAGBENGA eh di naman ako makaalis dahil sa work. Buti na lang, may Singles EB akong mapupuntahan sa 17. :)

damn.. i wish i could go.. i wus there same ocassion last year and i had such a blast! the mood was so festive! they closed off Session Road to traffic and the stores took out their merchandise to the sidewalks with kick-*** hip hop music playing in the DAYTIME. and what's more impressive is that despite the crowd, the place maintained its cleanliness..

too bad i'm working this week. but if i wusnt, no doubt, im there!!

Session Road in Bloom: The road would be closed to vehicles so people would be literally walking not in the sidewalk but on the road itself. Ala Malate, all stores around session road would be out. So eating, drinking etc, exactly in/on the road.

Street Dancing starts at 2:00 pm tomorrow.
Floats on Sunday around 9:00 am

To vacationists/tourists:

1. If anyone of you are going to buy flowers, please haggle. There's so much to be sold so I don't think anybody would go lugi. Haggle upto 50% at most. :D

2. Maintain proper decorum. :lol:

3. Be vigilant of personal belongings especially cellphones, wallets, jewelries.

4. Enjoy and meet people. ;)

Shopping: almost anywhere you'll get a good buy.

Weather: sunny, very very cold though in the evening and in the early morning

There's a tiangge in Abanao Street, Gen.Luna and in front of Dunkin Donut(session road)

Truly Baguio City is beautiful at this time of the year. The Flower Festival Parade and its immediate activities are the highlights never to be missed. It's a holiday! It's fun! Enjoy it! But honestly there's more Baguio can offer for all walks of life. Welcome to the highest City of the Philippines!

i'm not from baguio :) anyway i do know of those schools because when i was in baguio last time, i met a teacher from there.. she thought we were one of her students and she lectured us on how "ladies" should behave and what the proper attire when going out should be.. does anybody here know her? i think she's a miss ramos.. hehehe i guess it was kinda embarrassing for her when she found out we weren't from there..

anyway my friends and i went to the flower fest thingie.. but we never watched the parade.. not really into those things :)

I was there last weekend..
oh gawd.. so many people.. I nearly had a dozen fights with
visitors..The place was literally crawling with visitors.

But still it was great to be back in Baguio..
I really missed it. had great fun just roaming around again and simply doign nothing.. :D kinda like when was stil in High school and in college.. :D

Wish I coudl go back for the second part which is this weekend.. but then I have work.. :(

Omigad! Small world! Si Miss Ramos?! She was one of my favorite teachers!
Taught Social Ethics 1 and 2 in high school. She was one of those teachers na mukhang terror kasi disciplinarian, but I really liked her. Marami kasi akong natutunan at nalaman about myself from her. *sigh* :)

Yhis is the best part of the flower fest.Session road will be closed to traffic and there'll be some sort of cafe by the streets. i just hope the weather cooperates. I hope to see you guys . Come on, lets go get some fish balls,guys! :*)

At last natapos na rin ang Panagbenga 2001.Successful naman although naman kaso madami pa kaming dapat pang ayusin such as traffic control, crowd control and cleanliness.I hope that this would be taken note by the Baguio officials so as to make the next event better.

OFF TOPIC: Naku dami palang SLGHS people dito. Perhaps im from a batch much older than any of you guys.:lol: (Bawal magtanong kse tatawagin kong pangit ang magtatanong!) Baka naman naabutan niyo pa si "Sir Algebra" at si "Sir History" (sino nga sila....? :lol: )
