Who remembers the cartoon show G-Force ?

Hey this thread is for all those who watched G-force since their childohhd days... namimiss ko na kasi yung japorms ni Ace Goodheart , Dirt Darring, Peewee , Hootie , at yung babae na nakalimutan ko ang name.. di ba 5 sila...remember how they move.. the fly... the can do martial arts, and best of all.. their fashionable....I miss their ship "phoenix" .......pati na rin yung villain na si Galactor.... post nyo dito kung ano mga natatandaan nyo sa show na yun...

Yes, I remember this cartoon. I used to really like it, when I was little. Pero now, I find it corny. :) (like most cartoons...)

What a flashback...Saban brought G-Force in the U.S. as "Eagle Riders." It seemed cheezy if compared to what we know of G-Force.

It was originally released in the Philippines in the late 70s as "Battle of the Planets". The five members of G-Force would report to this little robot (can't remember his name) whose voice was done by Casey Kasem. All The Rock can remember was the number 2 guy, the race car driver, was named Jason. Cool name.:cool: Apparently there's an anime called "Gatchaman 2000", pero di ko pa nahihiram eh.:D

When I was a kid I used to have this G-force t-shirt kasi hand-me-down yun from one of my 4 older brothers.

Parang may new version na ng G-force ah... I saw it on a japanese channel... it looked really snazzy. =)

SoliduS_AlphA: Actually, matagal na yon eh, may a year ago na yata nung nakita ko. It's one of those Jaapanese channels (NHK yata), if I remember correctly, morning ng Phil. time ko nakita. =) Sorry late reply..

how about the g foce shirt ? was it like the ones used by the characters ? does it look like a jersey ?

Hmmmm I don't really remember what the characters wore. The t-shirt is typical 80s style na shirt (shucks, buking edad ko)...white, with navy blue na parang piping on the cuffs and sa collar. Tapos may pic ng characters sa harap na parang side view pose sila in all their bird regalia. =)

about the show ..... was it like the ones shown @ channel 2 before ? all I recall about the show .it was aired every 5:30 pm Saturdays on channle 2 after "game na game na"

Sadly, no. I'll look for it sa super old clothes-pile namin...nakahanap nga ako ng vintage adidas jacket don na pag-aari dati ng dad ko, so may chance pa siguro. Hmm...i'll look for my old kiddie pics baka kita dun! Sayang yon, collectors item na siguro! My bro has an old cassette tape (yung tipong itim pa yung plastic ng cassete case) nga na may songs from Mazinger Z and Voltes 5, pero ang panget ng sound quality niya!

Hmm... mukhang familiar ang cartoon na yan ... may idea ako sa intro .... parang ganito :

Ace Goodheart fierce as a hawk,
Dirt Darring strong as a condor,...

5 young teenagers trained to fly like birds ..

basta parang ganun yun ....may nakaka alala pa pala ng anime na ito.. medyo luma na rin kasi ang G-Force... btw I find this anime cool...

Napanood nyo na pala ang OAv ng G - force .. so how was the story ? kaya ko binuhay ang g-Force kahit sa thread na ito kasi G-Force was one of the best anime I've seen at isa pa hindi siya overrated unlike the other anime..

I hear that there is going to be a CGI film version of Gatchaman to be made by the studio behind the last TMNT film.

I guess Jerry "Pirates of the Caribbean" Bruckheimer and his lawyers were able to get the copyright clearance to use the title "G-Force" in his upcoming Disney co-prod about a bunch of hamsters working for the CIA

Still remember the old Battle of the Planets (BoTP) series...the one with the in-base robot 7-Zark-7. AFAIK, pinasali si 7-Zark-7 (pati ang robo-dog niyang si 1-Rover-1 & VA comp named "Susan") nang dahil noong inadapt ang US distributors nito mula sa Japan noong '70s, maraming mga violent scenes na sinensor para sa mga kabataan noon.

Mabuti naman ngayon, pinalabas sa Hero TV ang orig Japanese version. Pati nga ang OVA na si Jun (Princess sa BoTP) kamukha ni Drew Barrymore.

Sa tingin ko, if Hollywood would ever do a live-action version of the film, here's my suggested casting:

Chris Pine - Ken (Mark-BoTP)
Alexander Sarsgaard - Joe (Jason-BoTP)
Jack Black - Ryu (Tiny-BoTP)
Moises Arias - Jimpei (Keyop-BoTP)
