View Full Version : POLL: Carpeted floor or Solid Wood?
Okay, we're gonna move in to this apartment and the manager is asking me to choose between wood floor or a carpeted one. I said I'll think about it. Anyways, I've always loved carpets and they feel nice especially for quickie sex ;) but they're pain in the butt to clean up.
On the other hand, solid wood floor looks classy, and are easy to clean. The drawback is that it tends to get very cold especially during the winter and quickie sex is almost impossible with a cold floor. So what do you think??
Help a guy out. Thanks!! ;)

Depends on where you're from. Carpeted floors retain more heat so if you live in a cold weather climate area,I would go with carpet.
And why the hell do you wanna bang on the floor all the time? Isn't that what the bed is for?!
I'm tired of using the bed and couch. Wanna try somethin new....

what winter? i thought you lived in SoCal?:)
anyway, i'd recommend hardwood flooring. like you said, carpet maintenance is a pain! can't get the dust and dirt out just by vacuuming. plus, it soooo hard to get out stains from messy spills. at least with hardwood, BOUNCE at SWIFFER lang, ok ka na!
ganito na lang: carpet for the bedroom/s, hardwood for the living areas. then add some area rugs where ever you think it's necessary for, um, added comfort.;)

I've always loved the feel of carpeting. However, since I'm not that diligent when it comes to cleaning, I go for the practical choice of wood flooring. It's up to you really. :) Practical or not-so-practical?

Carpet out, wood tile in. It's so neat and classy looking pag naka wood tile ka. And FYI, wood tile is harder to preserve than carpet. Tsaka you can always put a carpet rug on top of the wood tile so pwede pa rin she-bang on the floor :D.

I've always preferred carpeted floors... Dust isn't as obvious and easier to clean with a vaccum cleaner..

Hardwood floors look really nice and classy! Plus, carpets will leave those spots (or discolorations) during a certain period of time and it's usually not because of stains. This is why the color of the carpet, after a period of time, don't look uniform.
We converted the floor of our family room and breakfast nook from carpet to hardwood and it looks great. We live in Canada where winter can be freezing and converting from carpet to hardwood barely had any significant change in terms of room temperature. As long as your house is well-insulated, you won't have a problem, and I quote, "having quickie sex" during winter.

we used to have carpeted floors but cleaning it was a pain. vacuuming wasn't the only solution to a dirty carpet coz we still had to shampoo them once in a while. so we had it removed and had wood laminate floors installed. it's easier to clean, easier to mantain [especially if it's already treated] and it makes the house look good too. *okay*

i would prefer solid wood. it's easier to clean and when summer comes, it's not too hot. although on winter, it gets a bit chilly, just wear sweaters :D and close all the windows, hehe! it's also more easier to move the furnitures to another place than carpet.

i'd go with hardwood cuz i'm highly allergic to dust mites...
just place some shag rugs in certain areas for that "pimp daddy" look :P
but seriously, shag rugs feel nice ;)
