Who Washes the Dirty Dishes ?

the Hmmmm Scenario: The whole family just finished a big delicious meal. Everyone gets up and starts bringing their dirty plate, dishes and utensils to the kitchen sink. My question, do the Women/Girls of the family still wash the dishes and the Men/Boys would jump right into the couch and watch TV ? Who washes the Dishes in your family ? Is it the Men or the Women of the house ? **assuming there are no dishwasher or maid**

It's happened before that our maid(s) would go on vacation. Here are our scenarios:

1. If it's the whole family:
a. MOM - Cooks and clears the table
b. ME - Washes the dishes
c. KUYA - Feeds the dog and takes out the trash
d. DAD - Coaches from the couch :lol:

2. If it's just me and my bro:
a. KUYA - Cooks, feeds the dog and takes out the trash
b. ME - Cleans everything

This is strange, but I actually enjoy washing the dishes. :D

Mom: cooks and makes a lot of mess
Me: cleans and washes everything

Yun lang, life of a single mother and her daughter. :)

My wife cooks and I wash the dishes and clean the table.
When I do the cooking, my wife washes the dishes and wipes the table.

i hate washing dishes :D so i cook and my roommates wash dishes. and i also enjoy cleaning the bathroom for some odd reason :crazy:

if my mom's around then she does them. otherwise it would be me.:( i guess i don't really mind, as long as i have gloves on. oh and plenty of hot water to melt off the grease!

Well..if we still lived in the Philippines, I'm sure a maid would do it..but really though..it doesn't take any special skill or technique to wash dishes..LoL

My mom usually washes it then puts it in a dishwasher. My sis and I help out too. My dad helps out once in a blue moon..I think it's pathetic for a wife to do all the house cleaning and not her husband helping her. That's how I feel about my dad...I show him that I'm pissed about it too. No way am I marrying a man who expects me to clean up after him ALL THE TIME, his *** better get up and do stuff too.

i've only been married a month but my husband has no qualms in helping wash the dishes. he actually [/b]likes[/b] doing it! (ever since i told him i found it sexy, :lol: ) we switch off every now and then. he's not into "dishes are for women" thing. i'm lucky. :)

When we don't have a maid, my dad, brother and I usually take turns in washing the dishes. My mom's exempted already since she does the cooking. :) Although if I help her, I'm exempted from dishwashing as well. :D

seriously, i always wash the dishes.. dont expect my kuya to wash them..

dad: cooks and takes out the trash (all of my dad's brothers does the cooking too in their homes)
mom: just eats and then watch tv :lol: (sometimes cook but usually on sundays)
me: washes the dishes
sis: cleans the stove (if she's in the mood, she helps with the pans)
bro: cleans the table

i dont know how the washing of the dishes got to be my assignment :angry: probably because i'm the eldest

We got a system in our house.

The dishwasher gets the plates and cups... stuff like that.

Whoever cooks doesn't do the dishes (usually mom).

Then it goes by rotating basis between my mom, sis, and me(if I'm ever home)
