no one edges anybody, its just a title, pls understand that net worth and self worth are 2 separate things. youll be surprised to know that my atenean, lasallian, and Upian friends go to thrift stores(ukay ukay) and eat street food and strive to get the best bang for our buck - for exmaple derma, skin care, we take advantage of promos and perks, sale, and where to buy the most affordable gizmos, gadgets, and stuff.

To my fellow PExers,
Let not this thread deteriorate into another exchange of trying to prove which school has the greater edge or which school is better. I am a Thomasian and it would be foolish for me to think that my being so renders me a certain quality or trait that makes be better (or even less) than other students or alumni from another school. And the same holds true, of course, even if one is an Atenean or a Lasallian or a UPian. These are simply labels that many conveniently use to signify or classify people by either social status, academic excellence, “breeding” or any criterion that sets one apart or superior or inferior to another. Let us not fall into this kind of thinking. The idea of superiority is very seductive. Its like a drug, it will make you feel good about yourself but it doesn’t make you love or serve your fellow man like Christ or Gandhi or Mandela did.
Neither your status, academic excellence, “breed” nor whatever that superficial thing or label that sets you apart from the rest, will make you see the truth in humility that you and the others are one in One. We may appear different from one another but we are made of the same stuff – all made in the image and likeness of the One. This condition of being different from one another has a grand purpose. Among other things, it is to challenge us to demonstrate our capacity to transcend or see through our differences and realize our commonalities and the best in our humanity. Go beyond superficialities and inanities. Each one of us is meant for things far greater and sacred.
If you carefully look at what has happened in the past 50 years whether in the corporate world, in various businesses or, especially, in the government service, would you conclude that the education or training of a Thomasian, Atenean, Lasallian or UPian has contributed to lessening proverty, corruption or improving business ethics? I don’t think so. Because otherwise, this country would not be in the state of mess and depravity that it is now.
Yet, there are people who are silently bringing necessary and positive changes, though relatively few in number, who couldn’t care less whether they graduated from this or that school (never mind if its an “elite” school or not). They move without being noticed or a desire to be noticed; and if noticed, it is because of the undeniable fragrance of the intent of their actions to serve their countrymen and country better.
And so to the young PExers, know and feel that which is true and honest. Think, observe and be wary of how things or ideas may influence you so you do not succumbed or be seduced by superficial and empty constructions. It is everywhere around you.

May magaling din mag-PR at makaisip ng mga pilosopiya ng finance or business management, nga lamang "it's black business without a heart".
Eh ano mapapala natin diyan?
Sabi ng PEx administrator: "Please remember that posting in PinoyExchange is very powerful."
Aber, tignan nga natin kung "powerful"?

Huwag naman po ganyan Mr. ilustrados03.
I strongly feel that princeangelo's posting was an honest query.
Ganun pa man, peace be with you princeangelo at ilustrados03.
Salamat po.

I think, you're more exposed to diversity of students. You meet people from a continuoum of opposite extremes considering various courses, students' cultural backgrounds, financial status and family upbringing as well.
