Any takers of this course?
I am planning to take up my masters and I only know one school who offers this course. Aside from DLSU, do you know guys where are the other schools that offer the said course? Also If I am meant for DLSU as the only school, do you know how much it will gonna take?
Thanks and regards..

Hi,
I just took the admission exam of DLSU for MSIT program last august 4. Wala pang result if I passed or not, pero I hope so I did. More or less 20,000 ata aabutin per tri-sem. Pero I'm not sure about this.
I graduated from UP pero pinili ko ang dlsu. Siguro dahil gusto ko maibang school naman. There are areas na pwede ituro ng la salle na wala sa UP. Both of them are Center of Excellence din naman sa IT. Tsaka mas nakakalamang naman siguro ang DLSU sa UP in terms of equipments and facilities.

Ateneo was one of my prospect however, they are offering MIT not MSIT as I know.. I searched on their school in Makati thru but haven't found anything clear about it.
Good to know that there's one in PUP, I'll try.. Thanks!

Ngayon lang ako nakapagcheck ulit ng thread na ito.
BSCS student ako dati sa UPLB, nagshift ako ng BS Stat after three sems.
Pero more or less nasa 17,000 to 20,000 (6 units). Part time lang ako dahil may work din ako sa umaga. Buti na lang ang mga classes sa DLSU ay 6pm-9pm. Pwede naman installment, pero you need to pay muna 100% of misc and at least 50% of TF.
Try niyo ito, baka makatulong

Hi,
Just some inputs on DLSU GS Tuition (New Students):
If you'll take 6 units,
a. With Computer/Lab Fee - approx 23K
b. Without Computer/Lab Fee - approx 16K
Here is a sample breakdown (I'm taking MS for an Engineering Program):
1st Term SY08-09
Tuition 10,698 (6 Units)
New Student Fee 1, 307
Miscellaneous 3, 879
Development Fees 785
Lab Fees 6, 166 (Computer Lab Fee)
ID Card (New) 597
-------------------------------------------
Total Fees 23, 432
2nd Term (6 units w/o Lab Fee) - 15, 407
I hope this helps. *okay*

I'm also interested with taking up MS IT.
the MS IT in DLSU has a thesis component to it.... is this a system type of thesis? Because it it would be a research kind of thesis, then I guess I'll just take MS CS instead. Any inputs?
Thanks.

Hello ano yun bang MS in Information Technology heavy siya sa programming?
So walang Saturday classes ang La Salle no?
Ano yung school na puwede pumasok ng Saturdays lang for the Grad School
Thanks

Adamson University also offers Master of Science in Information Technology..
when I checked the tuition.. hindi nalalayo sa DLSU and ADMU.
I took my BS Computer Science degree at Adamson University..
I'm currently working as a Software Engineer and I also have plans of taking Masteral.
but my heart and mind is arguing whether I'm going to take my masters at Adamson or Ateneo..
my heart says Adamson because I love my alma mater..
my mind says Ateneo because of a more extensive curriculum.

Aizen --> The MSIT program in DLSU Manila also has Saturday classes. It would depend on the availability of the professors teaching the subjects. Most of the time, the class/subject is taught once a week (3 hours straight... with the occasional 15 minute in-between break)... that's from 6:00 to 9:00pm. If it's a Saturday class... that would depend on the availability. Pwede 8 - 11, 9:40 - 11:40, 1:00 - 4:00.
DLSU's MSIT doesn't have that much programming (i.e. "hands-on") but it would depend on the subject. Although it is assumed that you already have programming background kasi yung ibang subjects (like Theory of Programming Language), you will be required to examine a programming language (except for VB, Java, C++) and must be able to show functions and features of that language.
Where did you graduate your BSCS degree nga pala?
If you did not graduate from DLSU Manila... you may be required to take remedial courses for taking the actual MSIT Program. But again, this would depend on the following:
1. School where you graduated from...
2. The course you graduated with...
a. If it's BSCS... then you might have lesser or no remedial subjects
b. If it's a non-IT course... then you will be required to take Diploma in Computer Science first. It's a 24 unit program you need to take prior to MSCS or MSIT
3. Your entrance exam result (Most of the time... this is one of the deciding factor. If your scores are low... then you maybe required to take 5 or 6 remedial subjects. I have friends who graduated from STI and AMA... they were still required to take remedial courses pa)
Hope these answers help... ;)

I am also planning to take this graduate program at Abu Dhabi University but it's gonna cost me a whopping 60 thousand per semester.
Para sa mga grumaduate na, kumusta naman ang opportunities after finishing the program?
