Ralph Lauren just launched (re-launched?) the Rugby website, http://rugby.com/.
Where does this fit in among the other RL brands? Is it above or below the Polo line? I'm guessing below, from the prices of the items...

i think theyre on par .... polo will carry the more traditional shirts and stuff .... while this line will try to go after the a&f/hollister crowd ...

^ they have been doing the rugby shirts for a long time.
Just this lately they have came up with several concept stores of the theme "Rugby".
Am I impressed by it? A little.
I don't think they are and will go after the afformentioned crowd as their merchandise are far superior than those brands and the demographic is a little older for Ralph Lauren due to purchasing capabilities.
A&F's Ruehl is comical. Now that's a store to visit.

^ Yes, I know.... I've seen the rugby shirts around and online for a while now. Most often alongside RLX (yech!) stuff but occasionally mixed in with Polo items.
I think that the style is perfect for the smart and preppy college set. It's definitely a younger image than Polo although the price ranges are close/overlapping.

i think polo is going for the a&f marketing scheme where they have a&f, hollister and american eagle all next to each other at the mall .... i wont be surprised to see a polo and rugby store next to each other anytime soon .... a take on the old navy, gap, banana rep model i guess....

Im going off on a limb of this one but I kinda like this line to be honest. Id doa few alterations on it. I specially like this cadette like jacket they have a few seasons back. It soo reminds me of Napoleon on waterloo minus being a small guy and funny ensignias.
To me, this line is bordering frute swagz and preppy. I don't know why but I like it.

naw broham duckie might be categorized in the "questioning" dept.
Its just I have a bit of frute swags running through my vains from my previous "fashion sense" of Sean John,Rocawears and Akademiks. Old habits die hard. Ergo the Timberland boots.
fruity, not at all
frute-y, probably yes

It can even look good on women. Or maybe because it's Serena wearing it? You be the judge.
