hey guys! I need your help!

there is a part in our feasibility study, Market Study, which requires

us to get a historical demand and historical supply data of the

competitor of our business. Particularly, the competitor is the Bodhi

Vegetarian food chain. Our adviser said to directly ask the Bodhi

company to give us figures for the past 5 years. Malabo yata yun di

ba kasi confidential yun? Bawal din kasi imbentuhin. san kaya ako

makakakuha ng info about Bodhi food chain... yung historical

demand and supply data nila for the past 5 years??

Thanks guys!

Most companies usually give information if you give them a letter, on school letterhead, signed by your professor and college dean/department chair and stating that the information will be used for research purposes only. Also, if they won't give information outright, ask for an interview with someone who knows (i.e. Marketing Manager or the like). Sometimes companies won't give you the hard data (meaning paper copies or documents) but if you interview the right person and ask the right questions (meaning subtle and leading questions, hindi direct question), you can get the data you need verbally.

Also, while it is true na hindi mo pwede imbentuhin, you can make "assumptions" if you have other data available. For example, if you have data from another health food chain, you can make assumptions using those figures. Of course, you will have to explain and justify why you made those assumptions.
