I just want to know people's ideas.
This is for all kinds of people, of all professions, status and occupation. :)
Do you still go to museums/exhibits/galleries around the metro, country, or in other places? How frequent?
If not or no interest at all, why not?
What are your favorite and least favorite museums that you've gone to, and what are your comments regarding the exhibits and the overall environment and service?
*okay*

I practically grew up in museums.
My favorite museum would have to be the Honolulu Academy of Arts. The Metropolitan Art Museum in Manila is nice especially their gold collection. My least favorite was this museum in Florida I went to and If forgot the name.
The saddest museum I ever went to was the National Museum (dito sa Pinas). It has so much potential but I don't really see much. I see more Filipinana in the UST museum than the National Museum.
I try to go to museums nowadays rarely because of work but I make an effort to go if I heard of a new interesting exhibit or if I'm abroad.

i've been to the national museum at least twice. first was in grade school and the last time was before i left for the states (early this decade ). ok naman. they were doing some major improvements. they were creating some kind of themed exhibit area at that time pero di pa tapos. mukang promising naman.
Since highschool hanggang sa magkatrabaho, nagpupunta na ako dun every time there's a new exhibit set-up. Pati yung met café (café and gift shop) pinupuntahan ko. They have a lot of interesting items kahit di ako bumibili.
Sa ayala museum nagpunta ako I think 2xs pa lang (grade school field trip and nung college).
I also make it a point to visit provincial museums. Last na pinuntahan ko yung Baclayon Church museum in bohol. i support provincial museums kahit na they are in that state of disrepair. Na-appreciate ko yung sincere effort ng community to preserve their heritage and at the same time, nakakalungkot yung physical state ng museum nila.
dito sa new york, at least 5 major museums napuntahan ko na. i've been to the metropolitan museum at least 3xs. every visit felt like the first time *okay*
sa washington dc napuntahan ko lahat ng museums (smithsonian) dahil libre naman no! i've been to every single one of them (kung tama bilang ko and walang na-miss, 13 lahat). yung iba at least 2xs ko nakita.
Art galleries din masaya puntahan (new york city and montreal).
===
fave museum: metropolitan museum of new york

My favorite part of MMA is the old masters, esp Caravaggio. The most interesting is lower east tenement of new york.Inayos nila ang building like the occupants will be home any minute. And it was inhabited by the first wave of immigrant from europe to USA during 1920-1930.Kingston,Ontario is museum in every corner. The house of the 1st Prime minister, old prison for women(P4W),little historical facts about Canada.every holiday our family takes, visiting museum is in the list.Entertaining and educational!
