Just take a walk along Orchard road, there's lots of malls.

Go to Ngee Ann City (esp. Takashimaya dep't store), Wisma Atria, the Heeren, Wheelock Place etc. All of these are along Orchard. I heard there's a new one called Ion Orchard but I haven't been there yet and I'm not sure where it is.

Also, whenever I go to Singapore I have to drop by the Borders and Kinokuniya bookstore. I could spend an entire day there just for books!

I don't know what sort of style you're going for so I don't know what else to recommend, but there are a lot of streetwear and mid-range designer brands there that aren't available here.

Oh, make sure you keep your receipts so you can get a refund on your GST when you leave the country.

^Visvim, Neighborhood, Head Porter, OriginalFake for starters(Surrender & Ambush, Devonshire Road). They also have a tier 0 Nike store(Limited Edition, Queensway Shopping Centre) there, so they get some nice Nike selections there. The same store is also an Adidas Consortium store and beside it is an SB Account. There's a store (LeftFoot,Far East Plaza & The Cathay) that stocks Vans models that aren't available here, lots of colorways and sometimes they have the limited ones as well such as the Supreme collabo before. They also have a stores that stocked Undftd, Stussy, Haze, Crooks & Castles, Fiberops, Futura Labs, etc. (What's Good, The Cathay/Black Chamber, Far East Plaza). There was also a store that sold denim such as Cheap Monday, Aprils, Skulls over at The Heeren, Orchard but I can't recall the name now. Edwin's and Imperial denim are available at The Wonderland (Wheelock Place, Orchard). Actually at Seah Streeat(Bugis Area) has some Cheap Mondays as well among other things (they keep changing their brands ever few seasons but I'm pretty sure they still have those Freitag bags). Over at Chinatown, go to Ann Siang Road and check out Front Row for APC stuff, Style Nordic for Nudies and inbetween the 2 stores there is a Fred Perry store. Opposite the Fred Perry store is the famous design group Asylum, the ground floor acts as their store selling art books, obscure music and other knick knacks. Walk around, there are plenty of gems to find, depending on what you are interested in. Hope this helps, enjoy!

Yeah but buy the Royce just before you leave, as it needs to be in the freezer.

I usually buy from the basement of Takashimaya, near the food court.

Hehe, what she means is, you can find a lot of Pinays at Lucky Plaza on Sundays.

hi brianpex, how do i file the gst?

am staying in a hotel along orchard road, can't wait to shop. Is there a H&M store? I want to buy a pair of Melissa shoes, i heard its way cheaper in SG, but my friend can't remember where she saw it?

Is there an octopus like card? do i have to buy? i plan to visit the singapore zoo as well.

Royce chocolates, in my last trip to HK that is my cousin's pabilin, but i never manage to find any; i have scoured several supermarkets. is there a specialty store that sells this brand?

Also is DSLR cheaper in Sg? i plan to buy one

am super excited na, this is not my first time, but my first trip was with a travel agency years back, we have shuttle service. We had a full itenerary of zoos and garden, very limited time to shop. :(

Now am going with a friend, we are both ignoramus on how to roam the city, how we maximize our stay. am keeping my fingers cross that its like HK.

There is a desk at the airport terminal. Just show your receipts.

I think my favorite hotel is Phoenix hotel. They refurbished it a couple of years ago (so the name is appropriate!). Not as posh as other hotels but its cheaper. It's also just a block off Orchard and there is a MTR station next to it. There's also a skate park across the street if you're into that.

Yes, there's a card you can use on both buses and the MTR. You can get it at the MTR station.

Definitely go on the Night Safari.

I don't know if there's a Royce store, but there is a Royce kiosk at the basement of the Takashimaya in Ngee Ann City.

Royce is available locally. Somewhere in Greenhills, I'm told.

I don't think they're any cheaper there than buying one at Hidalgo. Best to ask for quotes locally then compare when you get to Sg.

For techies, go to Funan Digital Life Mall, near City Hall. Branded computers, and tech gadgets.

Kung gusto nyo medyo ala greenhills, go to Sim Lim Square, near Bugis Station. Ingat lang.

Or might as well go to www.sghotdeals.com!!!!!

The origins of SgHotDeals can be traced back to mid-2008 when founding members foresaw the need for an online portal which consolidates all the best deals in Singapore. ROYCE store is at suntec. then the one at Takashimaya basement is just a kiosk.
EZ link is the card. definitely u should buy one. its $15; loaded with $7; $5-non refundable; $3-refundable. also can use in some taxis, in 7 eleven and in mcdonalds.
if you've got $100 up single receipt then u can ask the store to give you GST REFUND form; they know it already.
