how much does it cost to get married nowadays?

Hey people! I've a friend who's getting married soon, and I've to help 'cause I'm the Maid of Honor & Best Man rolled in one! We're still in the planning stages...

How much would does it cost to get married? A coordinator is out of the question because the couple wants to do this on their own and they've a lot of friends willing to help out anyway. How much are things like the payments for the gowns, church, reception (garden), wedding rings, etc. Thanks! :)

p.s. could you also list some shops that carry stuff needed for the wedding & their contact #s? thanks again! :)

wicca, the cost actually all depends on the number of guests expected to come, and what kind of wedding they want to have (ie, grand/big or small and simple)...so to be able to help them out, you first have to ask the couple to give you a working budget, then you can start out from there...

For a grand wedding with over 800 guests and a 5-star hotel reception, very easily over PhP 2M. Anyway, wicca, I have a list of recommended shops and services for weddings. Just ask me na lang when we see each other.

church ... something like 12,000 (san agustin. san sebastian is 15,000 and they are the most expensive)
ring ... depends on the style and how many gems are in it. mga 20,000 siguro for 1 set of bands.
gown ... ranges from 50,000 to 1MM depends on the number of people on the entourage and the coururier. pwede na yun 50,000.
reception ... hotel mga 1,000 per head. garden pala ... mga 800 per siguro sa coconut palance, sitio victorio, father blanco. or try albergus.

it's like a jigsaw puzzle ... depends on the parameters like budget, style, motif, wants, etc.
