Hindi naman siguro ganun. Sa tingin ko nga Letran may have the biggest heart sa NCAA. Look at how they over achieve last year and this season. Never underestimate the heart of a champion ika nga. When they play, they play with so much heart and passion which makes them very dangerous.

IMO, Letran can't do without Louie Alas. He's an example that a "coach makes the player." Last year, they were touted as the dark horse of the league. Alas proved critics wrong and landed in the finals, only to fall against the mighty Red Lions.

However, I don't think the Red Lions are invincible. Bilog ang bola. To be honest, kinakabahan pa rin ako pag kalaban ang Letran because Alas has many aces. Magaling siyang coach. Mala Bobby Knight siya sa larangan ng kolehiyong pampalakasan.

As clearly explained by Alas before the start of the season, he kept on barking to the sports media reporters that his team Letran knights will be very lucky if they will enter the Final 4.

So I think the Letran people and other basketball observers should not be surprised with the performance of Letran in the 2nd round. This is their actual value since they are not really a strong team this year. Actually if you will really analyze the situation of the Knights they already over-achieved this season since no one really expect, including Alas, to almost sweep their 1st round games only to be clobbered in their last game by the power-house team of the San Beda Red Lions. The problem is that initially they came in as an underdog but when they started to upset other teams and went on a roll, surprisingly they went out too strong already and acted like to be the new favorites in this year's NC season. Well daisy letran, LETRANISTA is correct. Letran Knights has the material to pull an upset and do a miracle just like what they did in the 1st round of last year's NCAA season by beating San Beda by just a point in that highly controversial win. At that time, Alas has to beg Commissioner Narvasa not to put the game into overtime.

However, the real problem of Alas and Letran is that although they have the materials the same is "sub-standard". And as such, Letran will really have a very hard time to go toe to toe against the well-oiled machine of the Red Lions.

We have the material to beat the red lions and there always be. It depends on how the Knights will execute their plays.

Actually, winning/lossing to san beda does not necessarily mean that you are a good team. It is not the determinative factor in ascertaining the capabilities of a team.
