Antipolo is only a few min. away from Ortigas. Tagaytay can be crowded so book in a well-hidden inn. Binagongan is good for fishing and whiling the day away. Angono is full of culture and good food. Andami! Do you want me to go on?

When my boyfriend and I want to get away from it all, we go to Tagaytay Highlands and just hangout there.

Great place to go for a drive ... the coastal highway sceneries of beach and mountain and pine trees are so reminiscent of Hawaii's scenic drives. The big river that empties out into Lamon Bay is quite clean and perfect for swimming. There are a couple of spartan resort accommodations along the strip of rocky beach between the bridge and the town of Real. For me, the sandy beach by the mouth of the river is the best. Also check out the fish market for the freshest catch ... lots of yellow fin tuna, dorado and the like. If you have a 4x4, veer right just before the big bridge and take the barangay road. This road is suppose to go all the way to Mauban, Quezon, but when we drove through, and after a couple of exciting river crossings, we reached a dead-end .... a tranquil, deserted beach!

Clark Pampanga is near, one hour or more by car and then grocery lang ng grocery
