i am a Psychology graduate currently in the government sector. i want to take a masteral degree but i am torn between taking up MBA or MS in Industrial Psychology. i am super dooper confused esp now that i am being pressured by my boss to study so i can get a higher position someday. :(
2nd issue is that i don't know where school to enroll since my budget is very limited. DLSU is expensive while UPD is too far from my residence and i don't want to compromise the learning i will be getting.
i need enlightenment regarding this. i plan to enroll by 2009. help!

Are you planning to stay in government for long?

If you want to make a career out of organizational training/development either as a consultant or internal trouble-shooter, then industrial psychology makes more sense now. Then take your MBA after to round you out.

blueskies23,
DLSU is not expensive than UP Diliman for postgrad programs. They're about the same. If there's any price difference between the two, i surmise it's only marginal.
If I were you shoot for UPD. UPD's postgrad programs are significantly better than any school in the country. Both Ateneo and DLSU are only great for undergrad education. Their postgrad education is obviously NOT as great as their undergrad education (but still good).
There are a number of postgrad programs that you can choose if you go to UPD:
MS Psychology
MS Industrial Relations
MS Technology Management
MBA
I would also encourage you to look into the following programs as you might want to shift careers later on:
MS Finance
MS in Applied Mathematics
You should also consider UA&P. It's not one of the so-called, Big-3, but it's a great school, nonetheless. Its postgrad programs are surprisingly as good as their undergrad programs. It also has a rich alumni network.

The reason I ask about plans to stay in government is to suggest that an MPA degree might be worth considering.
