With the almost 200 UST examinees every board exam, most likely it will swarm the top 10 with Thomasians.

I doubt that. I know a certain school that fields that many examinees but they're lucky enough to reach 50% passing rate.
Maganda lang talaga ang programa ng UST sa Architecture.

There are architecture schools that are better than UST if i talk about board exam results. They have fewer examinees, but they manage to get one or two in the top 10, and they have more than 60 to 90% passing in every board exam.
If you get the ratio of top examinees to the total number of examinees, they beat UST consistently.
That means having the most numbers of Thomasians or UPians, USCians etc. in the top ten doesnt mean the school is number one.

i disagree.
USTCA is the top school of architecture in the country.
Out of 4 national artists for architecture, 3 are Thomasians.
Prominent architects of the country hail from this college.
We are the movers in the field of architecture in the Philippines.
Our curricula sets the trends in archi education.
Need I say more?

and what school are you referring to? let's be real here.
consistency is the issue not a one time good ratio.
face the fact that UST and UP are the best known schools for archi....the rest......surviving.

actually may point ka. maganda rin iconsider yung percentage ng topnotchers per cohort and it doesnt necessarily mean na number one school na yung may most people sa top ten. dapat iconsider din yung number na naproproduce and overall passing rate.

Talaga namang kinokonsider ng PRC passing rate with respect to the number of examinees. And it's true that it doesn't make the school number 1 just by sending hordes of topnotchers like UST. Kaya nga palaging number 2 overall lang sya sa UP [we all know that UP has a tradition of 100% passing in almost all boards].
Without bias though [I am Thomasian], I still consider UST, followed by UP, as the best school for architecture for the following reasons:
1. Board exams: UST and UP
2. [U]National Artists: 2 out of 4 national artists are Thomasians -- Leandro Locsin & Ildefonso Santos [took post-grad at UP]. The other two [Juan Nakpil & Pablo Antonio were foreign-trained].
3. Current leaders in the field like Felino Palafox [noted for his architecture firm which is among the Top 100 in the world as of 2007; the only Southeast Asian in the list; took masters at UP] and Francisco Manosa are also Thomasians. Old new landmarks that you will see around are probably made by a Thomasian architect! :)

Para sa mga pinakamahusay!
Mabuhay Thomasian Architect...hindi nagsisinungaling ang industriya.
Noon at ngayon.
And it's even more frustrating to find out that those who are obviously inferior sila pa yung madaming sinasabi at reklamo. Sana peace nalang lahat, Architect naman tayong lahat. Kanya kanyang strength lang yan.

Idagdag mo pa sila Jose Recio and Carmelo Casas of Recio+Casas architects.
Sila ang nag-design ng soon-to-rise P500 million UST Sports Complex.
